The Wave Stage 3 (Metro) will improve travel across the Sunshine Coast by delivering a high-capacity, high-frequency service from Birtinya to the Sunshine Coast Airport. Have your say and take the survey on "High-frequency public transport corridor" page.

Route extensions:
611 - Maroochydore to Meridan Plains (extended into Meridian Plains)
612 - Nambour to Maroochydore (extended into Bli Bli)
614 - Extended to the Maroochydore City Centre
616 - Maroochydore to Palmview (extended into Palmview)
622 - Maroochydore to Noosa Junction (extended into Peregian Springs)
631 - Noosa to Nambour (extended to the Ginger Factory)

Queensland loves "Metro"!

I'm not quite optimistic about the TCO of the "Metro" concept. The real heavy rail network is an asset that can last for centuries. The metro-bus is always a temporary thing that every future government have to constantly invest in to keep it alive.

As usual this governemnt has never had any aggresive future plan. See the housing policies. They just realise we are short of residential properties, after doing nothing since covid...
