Is it this one--->https://www.trucksales.com.au/editorial ... sis-132235

What routes is it likely to be tested on?

Yup, same model as confirmed earlier. Given that these were ordered for the Spring Hill loop, I presume they'll be tested there first.

Can also confirm, if it hasn't been already, that E2835 is now T2835.

Does that mean that T is once again trying to remove 18.310 CNGs by transferring them to G, and picking up B8RLEs to replace them?

Was it parked at E with no fleet number? If so, it's the original E6004 that never entered service due to performance issues and replaced with the current E6004.

Nothing has been confirmed as removed from G as yet, though.

There have also been some timetable changes to UQ (busway) services which will have had some cascading effects across the network. It seems reasonable to suspect these swaps may have something to do with that (e.g. if G needs more buses due to the changes).

It wasn't my intention to imply that any 18.310 CNGs would be retired. But I can see how this would be mutually beneficial for both depots; T gets longer range B8RLEs, while G gets those extra 18.310s to operate extra services. Win-win.

Hey guys what’s going on with the 66? They’ve now made it a loop service with no break at UQ Lakes anymore.

They are doing works at UQ Lakes station in relation to the Metro so there is no space for buses to layover there.

I believe all UQ Lakes services are now basically loop services (like the 28 and 29 routes have always been).

It makes for a lot more dead running for G and S buses to access RBWH to start services.

Actually looks like some drivers are still taking breaks at UQ lakes Stop D... was on a 66 yesterday. Already running 9 mins late when we got to UQ, then driver took a 5min break so we were 15mins late when departing. It might be a lack of communication?

Do you think there will be a concept design for the new UQ Lakes Station, as exists for Cultural Centre? I can't imagine the works would be too big... although flood-proofing may need to be a priority, the station did go underwater in March 2022.

Volvo B8’s 2822-2838/2880-2883 are all in service at Eagle Farm. 2835 and any other B8’s which were temporarily transferred to Toowong have been returned.

The first Volvo BZL is set to be delivered to Eagle Farm this week. Unsure of its confirmed number, E1596?

Driver Training programs and route testing for the Volvo BZL is scheduled to commence Monday (15/5).
- Route Training for the 30 Loop will also commence for Eagle Farm Drivers

Unsure when the BZL’s will enter service, I believe BCC is still awaiting final delivery of second BZL.

Fleet numbers have been confirmed; they are E1596 and E1597. Currently wearing similar standard green Translink livery to Hornibrook's non-AOA examples, along with some tacked on Spring Hill Loop logos, it's unknown whether they'll receive the full wrap treatment that T1065 and T1066 will.

E1596 and E1597 to commence services on the 30 Loop Monday 22/5. Toowong will no longer operate any 30’s.

1065 and 1066 will return to standard livery.

Shame 1596/1597 are not in full spring hill loop livery.

Is there any documented reason why E1596 and E1597 share near-the same livery as Hornibrook Buslines 173-upwards? Was it a painting error or was it intended, as they were built in the same batch?

It may be political - I seem to recall electrifying the Spring Hill service was someone's election pledge.

Might as well post this photo I got of the rear livery of T1066 during the last weekday of service for Spring Hill Loop 18.310 diesels (they've still got another weekend to go before BZLs come to replace them).

I'm surprised that, a year after the rollout of the new Translink branding, that both these and the new e-buses for Hornibrook still use decals of the old Translink logo.
