From today's advice of rail replacement services for the coming week, I had a look at19 such timetables:Fleet Lists wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 10:48 am Thanks - yes I agree - the conversion of the rail contracts to be included in the regional contracts, is happening very slowly - have only seen them in Newcastle and some operated by Hillsbus.
It might be worth recording any others which have been seen.
Of those two 20T4 and 21T4 showed as being operated by Transdev John Holland and all trips showed as wheelchair accessible and the timetable cover pages showed "Temporary buses Opal card accepted" https://transportnsw.info/documents/tim ... 230112.pdf of which the first two characters "30" is the code for Transdev John Holland.
The other 17 timetables all showed as being operated by "Train bus replacement operators" and the timetable code is "01" which is used for such timetables and the timetable cover page shows "Temporary buses Opal card not accepted"
Of these 17 only one showed any trips as being wheelchair accessible - route 6SH with Fridays all trips in both directions and on Saturday and Sunday all trips from Moss Vale but none in the other. Route 7SH which is a similar route operating on Friday only does not show any.
All such timetables still contain the comment:" Look for the (wheelchair) symbol in this timetable. Some older buses may not have all the
features you need. There will be more accessible services as older buses are replaced."
So obviously the conversion to have these timetables included in the regional contracts has not advanced very much and wheelchair information in other rail replacement timetables does not appear reliable.
I have created a separate thread for this to keep updated to show if any progress is being made.
