It sounds like Carcity is going over board with advertising if they have half a dozen or so buses running around the western suburbs of Sydney warped in full AOAs for them

No idea why exactly but Busways Grafton Volvo B8RLE Fleet No 1330 was at Newcastle Interchange yesterday afternoon operating the 152 to Hawks nest.

Should always be a Heatherbrae bus operating this?

Looking at that second pic my guess is m/o 1094 which had recently been withdrawn at Edgeworth especially if it’s still got all old labels on it….
Saw it again this morning (m/o 1094) coming off the M1 onto Weakleys Drive with the Destination set to "DRIVER TRAINING", again much like the Costal Liner Volvo B10M Austral bus I posted a couple weeks back, this one still retrains the old Hillsbus logos + Seven Hills accreditation.

So I guess we can call m/o 1094 a Driver training bus now. Given this is the second time I've seen it coming off Weakleys Drive I am of the assumption this is retained at Edgeworth and then sent down to Thornton for Driver training.

TripView showing a Scania K320UB Bustech VST operating on the 477. Inclined to believe it's accurate as I've never seen an incorrect transponder out of Tempe depot before

But Tempe does not list such buses so it may have been a Kingsgrove bus.

That's what I'm thinking. Would make sense to transfer the Kingsgrove K320UB VSTs + 4 other buses to Tempe to replace the Oranas while the new Custom Elements at Kingsgrove take the transferred buses' place.

It may not even be a transfer. Kingsgrove does the occasional 477 trip.

Kingsgrove haven’t operated a timetabled route 477 for a long time. Since the most recent school holiday period, some routes that are normally not shared with other depots have had some services operated by other depots as a temporary measure regarding the driver shortage.

Been reliably informed the Busways Normal timetable resumes on 15th May which sees about 90 extra services added across Penrith Mulgrave and Glendenning some gaps filled in the timetables :D

Also 442 was spotted in Penrith on Driver training the other day is this a transfer from the Coast?? it retains its 6435 MO registration. it was previously noted in Penrith during the lockdowns in 2021 also as a driver trainer at Penrith Bus Station

In the current lot of shifts I've noticed quite a few otherwise Tempe routes have trips operated regularly operated by K. This includes the 303, 305, 308, 358, 476 and 477. It appears Kingsgrove evn operates a handful of 420s again, after not operating any at all for a while.

Kingsgrove depot also currently operates a round trip of route 530 and Burwood depot operates a route 442 trip.

Other regions would most likely also be returning back to normal timetable soon.

Another Kingsgrove bus on the 477, this time a Scania K310UB CB80, and that's assuming all the other Scania K280UBs and L113CRLs are Tempe buses. Interesting that Kingsgrove is operating Tempe routes more often as of late.

There’s a chance some Ryde Volvo B7s might be about to migrate to Glendenning.

On this topic I did spot an ex-STA Scania CB80 (2475 iirc) at Blacktown Interchange today with Mulgrave accreditation (presumably joining 2471 which is listed in FL as having recently emigrated there from M), so that doesn't sound that farfetched to be honest :P

Was as recently as last weekend. Putting a large part of its fleet up for sale doesn't necessarily mean an operator is in trouble, it may just want to downsize its fleet, so puts everything up far sale and then decides what to sell depending on what offers are received.

Apparently the word is that there could be up to 20 buses migrating westward, which it is assumed would start to eradicate the high floors.
