I found the Facebook marketplace ad in question, just two photos and these appear to becoming from an Scania L113CRL, not an Mercedes O305G since that is what fleet number 2577 was when it was with STA. I'd suspect this may be one of the L113CRL's that was withdrawn from Transit systems not too long ago, sold to Jeff Nance and this private buyer is now the owner of this, speculation on my part but it likely adds up.

Not sure if I'm allowed to link directly to marketplace listings but if you do a search for bus stuff listed in the last few days or so within Sydney, it'll come up ("2577" is even in the title.

@scania, yes, I have purchased it from Jeff Nance, and am converting it to a mobile home … as said above fleet number was 3761 .. 2577 is the body number of the bus.

I just want them. All gone asap … any price I will take.

You got one good looking motohome regardless.
When I drove them for a living I often thought what a great motorhome could be made out of one.

What made you choose that particular one? Any pictures?

Hate to break it to you but your going to be waiting a really really long time to get even anyone who'd want those seats. Simply put, their old and wouldn't really make for great repurposed seats(the moquette & padding may be able to be salvaged for upholstery if you wanted too but that's about it)

Better off taking them to the tip or at best since I think your in Sydney try asking the Sydney Bus Museum or even a few schools?

Try using https://postimg.cc/ and then using their image resizing option and when you make the post on here click the button that looks like a sun and mountain which will give you this code [ img] [/img] in between those brackets you'd put your image URL from Postimage that ends in .jpg or .png depending which file format you use.

Since I take High Quality photos when posting to the forum, I can't really use attachments since it not only ruins the image quality but my images always end up coming over a couple of megabytes.

Thank you, for the feed back, sold 6 of them for 100$ . Some guy wanted them for a party bus, I have given a couple to a bus enthusiast.

The rest I will just send to tip.

In no rush though, looking at buying another 2 buses now.

Well done selling off a few. You might sell some more in the coming days.

You should fit one of these hubodometers on as I did when I was a driver. I suggest using a bracket rather than a magnet though. No I didn't drive with it on.

More questions, my bus battery keeps dying, due to the fire suppression, for some reason, they decided to let it drain batteries by over riding the isolation button on the dash.

At the front under the flap, there is an Anderson lead where I can jump the batteries, but I am struggling to find where to get the Anderson lead to plug in. Anyone know.

Update, all seats are stripped out , flooring ripped up replacing all rotting wood, with new marine ply and cutting out rust part and replacing.

Yeah, I have a contact now, just so all are aware, I have actually agreed to buy more buses as they come out of service.

Up to 50 being purchased over a period of time, got to save them from being scrapped.

So if anyone is interested in purchasing one and if it’s allowed (mods) contact me.

Yes, they were, basically, it’s a cowbell Anderson lead.. they were a UK thing and installed on old Leyland buses etc, I have sourced a couple and are being sent over from the uk to Sydney… will probably get another when I go back for Xmas.

Will start a Vlog of my conversation of Mo3761.

All seats have gone, floor ripped up, doors being removed etc.
also got rid of the destination blinds etc.

They are Anderson plugs, not leads. You'll need to make up your own wiring. Plugs are easy to obtain, there are several variants.

I have found getting specialist knowledge here like finding the proverbial needle. I have gotten information I needed much easier in the UK and without the bad attitudes common this way. NZ has also been better.

I agree, basically, I have one sent from the UK, male to female, I will remove this one and replace with an updated version.
I showed pictures, they were like errr, kind of poor customer service and these are supposed to be experts in their fields lol
