I'm looking for information on the former bus operator Affordable Coach Lines at Lobethal. I.e. what were their fleet of buses they used on the Mt Pleasant to TTP & Mt Torrens to TTP services please?

Thanks in advance.

They had VPD 503 Toyota Coaster ex Wayward Bus and WLI 599 Mazda T3500. There were also a 7 seater and a 12 seater on which I have no details - I would guess they were a Tarago and a Hi Ace. Never got any photos of any of em.

Definitely a world away to the current operation by LinkSA. Great reliable service now provided by LinkSA from their Mt Pleasant depot using 3 different bus types.

I thought LinkSA shares a yard at Birdwood with EDSA buses?

How do the fares compare (taking into account inflation etc)?

The LinkSA buses in the Birdwood yard are just for school services contracted by the Education Department

The 800 route service 3 buses are stored in a depot alongside the Mt Pleasant Crash Repairs on Railway Tce in Mt Pleasant. Some other LinkSA coaches are stored their doing runs towards the Barossa. Google Earth and Street View show it clearly 😀

The current fares are here - https://www.linksa.com.au/wp-content/up ... TP-TTP.pdf

I'm not sure what the former operator used to charge - from what I understand, the Mt Pleasant to TTP route is subsidised by the Government which is why fares are cheaper than some other LinkSA services e.g. in the Barossa and to Murray Bridge. This service is put out to tender similar to how AdMet services are from memory.
