Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
I do appreciate these are very difficult times.
Unfortunately, todays peak hours were not good for public transport, TransLink stated they would run “additional services” but nobody knew what they were, and most buses were quite late. My own bus ended up being 40 minutes late.
Hopefully tomorrow is better! I’m sure the main issue was trying to run a Saturday timetable with the Monday traffix

Not sure on other routes, but GCL waiting for information on Toombul, accessibility etc. Should return tomorrow stopping on Sandgate Rd only.daveeyh wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 12:39 am Almost a week after the rain, not a single bus is running to Toombul. The bus interchange is fenced off like all of the shopping centre but buses could still use the 310 stops in Sandgate Road and hold in Grace Street. All roads look to open so don’t know what delay is. TransLink waiting on advice from TfB and impossible to contact TfB or BCC to get any information,
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
today i saw a lot of Sorry full bus route. especially 174/175 (Logan rd coridor) and also some artic on Non busway route (120, 180). I also surprised that they not putting more tags and artic on logan rd corridor, 204 or some Non BUZ frequency route that had many passengers. Also when i see the artic on 180 it look like not really that busy (Although i could be wrong because i sew it from Victoria bridge outbound). and also i hear that artic and tags is more priorities on BUZ route compare to non BUZ route (if the route run from Depo that had these vehicle).

Pity the drivers don't seem to have been told about the Grace Street changes - pot luck as to whether buses actually observe the stops.AUSCreeperCo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 1:06 am

And no-one from TfB or Translink on the ground to assist passengers with the changes or to ensure that buses were running as per the new stopping pattern.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
Absolute chaos getting to and from UQ Lakes on Monday - running a Saturday frequency on 66, 169 and 209 services on a full uni day was totally ridiculous with many people left to wait long periods of time at UQ Lakes and PA Hospital stations, among others.BT Enthusiast wrote: ↑Mon Mar 07, 2022 9:54 pm I do appreciate these are very difficult times.

This is where "additional services" would have been valuable but there weren't any!

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
Unsure if this is just sloppy reporting (i.e. Americanised terminology; bus interchange = depot, Tues March 8 as opposed to Tuesday 8th March etc) or there is a serious issue with one of more of the TfB depots proper. Could explain why service resumption is taking so long.ABC News wrote:... On the bus network, many of the council’s bus depots and driver facilities are heavily damaged, Mr Murphy said, but bus services are returning to normal.

2118 was on the 60 yesterday which seemed odd for me I've never previously seen it on there.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
Another "weird" transfer - noted G1260 today.

I noted that 2927 still has a very strong “new bus smell” while 2937 did not, must be varying levels of use

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
That is interesting, did it have its decals?
Also, seems like Toowong depots real time tracking is down and has been the whole day. Funny because all the other depots have real time working but not Toowong for some reason.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
Toowong and Willawong real time tracking seems to be down today. Anyone having the same issue?
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
Real time tracking has not been working well at all these past few days. A G driver said during his run, it was saying he was crazy early then jumped to super late, then back to super early again during his trip. Trips are also not being assigned properly to buses and/or drivers (e.g. the 8:06am OB 116 and 4:35pm IB 112 have both been coming up as G artics with non correlating GPS locations this week). Something at the back end regarding run sheets and driver details has been well and truly scuffed.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
All 4 buses back at E, that’s why only front sticker changed during this short term transfer.
E2838 on a Route 391 QUT Shuttle today.
2862 now at S instead of T. Same case as the 4 buses, only front sticker changed, most likely short term transfer.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
and today all the bcc operator bus tracking has been down. However for other operator (logan, transdev, park ridge) the tracking still working.Cazza wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 7:51 pm Real time tracking has not been working well at all these past few days. i still saw 2072 doing 200 with C sticker upfront. infact still in Carina or transfer happen this afternoon. also 2861 i saw doing 105. that also the vehicle short tranfer to sherwood. Also saw 2111 doing 40 shuttle today. first time saw normal bus doing shuttle free.
also i saw willawong tags doing 139, I thought only sherwood and GC doing 139. Or willawong now start doing 139 also.
speaking of 391 route. did you have the map route because i want to take photo of QUT shuttle bus but still not sure which location that can make good focus photo.
