Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
I'd say the driver went through a puddle a little too quickly and dislodged the panel at the clip on the bottom of it.

Bro if he hits a curb hidden in a puddle it would rip it off and other body panelsbusdriver12 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 8:19 amI'd say the driver went through a puddle a little too quickly and dislodged the panel at the clip on the bottom of it.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
Not quite. The clips on those panels aren't always particularly strong, particularly after years of vibrations from the road, engine as well as being opened for routine maintenance. Even a strong gust of wind can sometimes cause them to pop open. The force of travelling through a deep puddle of water hitting the panel could quite easily dislodge it from the latches securing it.Tp2323 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 9:11 amBro if he hits a curb hidden in a puddle it would rip it off and other body panelsbusdriver12 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 8:19 amI'd say the driver went through a puddle a little too quickly and dislodged the panel at the clip on the bottom of it.

Possibly a new BZL at Truck Centre at the moment. Thought I saw something in the workshop with roof skirt panels. So at a guess 4002 isn't too far off.
If it's not a ZF, take it back!

Wonder where 4002 will end up. I have a feeling Midland shuttle may be next for E-bus trial if Joondalup CAT is successful.
Another potential candidate is 555. The gas fleet can easily be replaced by an electric one.

There has been no indication that electric bus charging facilities have been implemented at either depot at this stage.
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
I thought the trial page on some website said four new electric buses for Joondalup cat trial here https://www.mediastatements.wa.gov.au/P ... nuary.aspxEnviro 500 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 9:29 amWonder where 4002 will end up. One would assume they'll be used in regular service. Whether at Joondalup or not, we'll have to wait and see - although if they're there, they could fill in for the CATs.Enviro 500 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 7:40 pmHmm, for regular service?Zidanehartono wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 6:11 pm 2x Volvo BZL in Transperth corporate livery sighted at Trucks Centre WA Kewdale.
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
Were the other two delivered in normal livery and then had the wrap added? Or delivered already in red??

4000 and 4001 was initially bare grey, although 4001 had the promotional decals, before being earmarked for use on CAT services wrapped with the red livery, while 4002 and 4003 in the normal livery.

Couldn't find it on the thread search, so might as well report that 2127 has been refurbed.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

Tomorrow (30th June), there will be a sports carinval event held at Ern Clark Athletic Track, Cannington with variety from GPB/WCBC and the like expected to be making the trip. Be there at around 9:30AM (drop-off only) or 1:00-1:45PM.

Does anyone know when the Forrestfield/Airport Link will open and be operational?
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
This has been covered quite extensively an auditor general report says the end of July however that’s pushing it as that’s 6 weeks to full closureTransRegional wrote:Does anyone know when the Forrestfield/Airport Link will open and be operational?
