Port Hedland’s 2119, 2120, 2121 and 2122 parked up at Malaga Depot for refurbishment.
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
1601 and another OC500LE sitting at the workshop near the front entrance of Canning Vale Depot.
Unsure if they are being stripped of usable parts before going to the scrappers or are actually being used (seems unusual for Canning Vale to have CNG busses as they don't have refuelling infrastructure for them).

1601 is no longer registered so it would be getting stripped for partsLawBayly wrote:1601 and another OC500LE sitting at the workshop near the front entrance of Canning Vale Depot.

Let's recap:
1656-9 to Albany, 1442-5 to PH. Where will 2119-22 go when they've had their refurb? Sounds like musical chairs to me.

I'd have thought 1601 should have gone to Manheim too.TP1462 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 10:12 am1601 is no longer registered so it would be getting stripped for partsLawBayly wrote:1601 and another OC500LE sitting at the workshop near the front entrance of Canning Vale Depot.

1855-1860 are at Manhiem, along with 1234-1278.
I’d say 1601 is being Prepped to go to Manheim along with the other Derego’d swan units.

Sighted 2775 (?) having a sleepover at Redcliffe Depot, presumed to be a change-off.

Meanwhile, 2780 still retains its original seating configuration. Pretty sure all 6 ex-Malaga units that were redeployed to Claisebrook haven't been modified.Merc1107 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 9:20 pmIt might show me a fool by saying so ... But I'd never noticed (nor have the CATs ever really been a staple in my travels so that's probably why).Mr OC Benz wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 8:41 pm The B7's and B8's delivered to Perth CAT's also have the additional set of longitudinal seats opposite the centre door which provides a bit more standing room and passenger flow near the doors.

With all the brouhaha the last few years with rolling stock constantly breaking down, several line closures, COVID, the looming 18mo shutdown - it'll be a miracle if there's anyone left using the service once the new rolling stock comes online!
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
Probably better to maintain a rail service than not all this is the first time it’s actually run in well over a week the current railcars will be withdrawn by the end of the year just the first time I’ve actually seen a single railcarMerc1107 wrote:With all the brouhaha the last few years with rolling stock constantly breaking down, several line closures, COVID, the looming 18mo shutdown - it'll be a miracle if there's anyone left using the service once the new rolling stock comes online!

1685 and 1684 seen arriving one after the other on the Terrace headed for EQBS while both were on 178. There was less than a minute between each bus.
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
A new depot is going to be constructed in North Jandakot it’s currently listed as early tender advice with an estimated advertising date of May 13th so unclear of the location and if it’s just a sub depot to supplement Canningvale

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
A map published some years back suggested the PTA still have land at a Jandakot location, plus a second depot planned in Cockburn area.
It has also been mentioned the PTA is moving towards owning all sites on the network, to improve competition between contractors and reduce the possibility of a site becoming unviable. I'm not sure what the situation is with CV - so there's a possibility this will replace it entirely if it is a private arrangement like North Freo was.

Better to use it for Cockburn and Aubin Grove services currently operating from Freo (520/525/526/530/531/532/534/535/536).TP1462 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 2:02 pm A new depot is going to be constructed in North Jandakot it’s currently listed as early tender advice with an estimated advertising date of May 13th so unclear of the location and if it’s just a sub depot to supplement Canningvale

I think that site may no longer exist as it corresponds pretty much to where Pilatus Street now runs.Merc1107 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 2:11 pm A map published some years back suggested the PTA still have land at a Jandakot location, plus a second depot planned in Cockburn area.

Does PTA own the Wangara site now? Apparently Path Transit is still registered as the property owner.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2022
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the fact that Carbridge have done an update to their destination displays in the last couple of weeks, with "via displays" being updated to reflect recent changes (return to service of Carpark A on the Domestic Carpark service for example).
If it's not a ZF, take it back!

Can anyone confirm if A series set 10 has been withdrawn?

Why would it have been withdrawn? Accident or something?
