Another high-floor operating again this afternoon on service routes within the Hunter Area, the 141 at Raymond Terrace was being operated by a Scania K270IB SB400 around 4PM. Don't believe this route ever sees high-floors on it.

Are thy using some new buses which are not yet recognized by the trackers? Possibly electric buses?

No, Thornton CDC nor their Sydney counterparts don't have E-buses yet. There was apparently an issue yesterday which could've been driver shortages that lead to a couple of high-floors (non-accessible) buses operating service runs. I thought it was also real time trip tracking chucking a wobbly again but I had to do a fuel run for my car and drove past a High-floor B7R Endura operating the 181 to Rutherford when I was doing so.

That Endura then terminated at Greenhills shops and the run was continued by a low-floor B7RLE from there. There was a Csepel doing the 145 run to the Airport yesterday too.

I don't know if the 141 at 4PM is usually operated by a high-floor (HVB Thornton does their best to maintain 99.9% accessibility now days).

For routes that operate two way through Bankstown Central, that link does not distinguish between which buses use which stop.

Yeah, that is a pretty stupid move, especially since one direction of over one half of those routes that are double-listed terminate at the very next stop (namely the 905, 907, 908, 909 and 911), and considering that this shopping centre's old interchange is already loaded with people who don't read the destos.

Although at least, for some Bankstown locals (and some others) who use the 925, M90, M91 and M92, it might take a bit of a quicker time to work out, depending on how well they can remember the direction where their bus comes in to the old interchange.
The Mall Stand C is on the northern side of The Mall heading towards Jacobs St (on the block where Paul Keating Park is), and therefore has the buses heading towards Lidcombe, Burwood and Parramatta respectively. Stand B is on the opposite side of The Mall (the block that has Bankstown Square itself [no, I am not calling it 'Bankstown Central']), heading towards the station where the same routes head over to East Hills, Liverpool, Hurstville and Sutherland, again respectively.

Most likely is that it was one of a number of vehicles that were temporarily transferred to Kinetic's Greyhound Resources operation in Queensland and have since returned. None are showing on the Greyhound fleet list but that has never been split to reflect which vehicles were included with the sale of the resources business and those that remained with the legacy Greyhound Australia express operation.

THE BAYS metro station.
The opening of The Bays metro station, c.2030, will establish an interchange between two of Sydney's major public transport corridors - Metro West and Victoria Road. To see just how unimaginative the planning is, note the 280 metre indirect walk for interchanging passengers, between the station and the bus stops, shown on page 25 of the Summary document, here...

How many bus people are likely to interchange so close to the CBD?

At least local residents appear to be serviced by local buses.

Transdev John Holland Waverley artics will appear on routes 200, 324, 325, 380, 386 and 387 from tomorrow.

Previously they were confined to route 333 and short working 379s.

It has previously been suggested the 333 experiences such heavy loadings it needs to be an all-artic route. Will these changes negatively affect that, or will it cut back on inefficient dead-running?

333 should be a tram route as it used to be, but not much chance of that for the foreseeable future. I thought it was already all artic except for the occasional blow-in? It also needs all-door loading, but not much chance of that either.

Already is, and while it does suffer from overcrowding between Bondi Junction and Bondi Beach when beachgoers descend on mass, generally doesn't suffer from overcrowding. On days when large breach crowds are expected, extra short workings are operated.

None of these routes have had stops extended, so it's going to be a bit messy when, say, a 386/7 blocks all traffic on Old South Head Road?

Just had a look at the “to be delivered “ list ….3 deckers….B line…and 4 VST’s for Newie….but here’s the thing…aren’t they supposed to be going electric later this year??…..if so, bit odd still adding diesel buses to the fleet?.

That seems to be for Keolis Downer who has nothing to do with St Marys.

There are still diesel buses being ordered by most operators so KD is not on their own there.

An artic can go anywhere a 12 metre rigid can. You should see some of the streets on the school runs in Nowra, or on Perth routes too for that matter. They eat mini roundabouts for lunch.

KD in Newcastle is supposed to be getting three Bustech ZDis later this year. Pantograph recharging is being discussed for northern beaches, which suggests electric double deckers and/or artics. Mona Vale and Brookvale have chargers and KD has a commitment to 125 electric buses over the next few years.

My assumption (and don't take this as fact) for Newcastle Transport is that they may be preparing to withdrawal more of the Volvo B10BLE's APG's soon or very shortly and these B8RLE VST's will be their successor and that is going to be the final buses for the operator that aren't electric. So far they've only withdrawn 3 going by FL's (2 that have since long found new owners, one being used for parts & no idea if their still in possession of it). Unlike the L113CRL's that STA was disposing of prior to the privatisation of their last operations, I'm hoping these B10BLE's find their way onto new owners but that might be too wishful thinking. I'll cut KD some slack & am happy to see that they were approached (or decided for themselves) to sell off some of their retired buses, much better than just chucking still running buses to the scrapheap if their still perfectly legal to run & operate on the roads. Catch 22 is of course they need to find new owners otherwise they'll be disposed of (also known as being scrapped which is what happened to some of the ex Newcastle STA ex NT MAN Ansairs that were not so lucky to find new homes )

Edit: In speaking of the B8RLE's I'm interested to see if these will have Precision logo on them (much like some of TSA's newer Scania VST's). Fleet-lists doesn't exactly say Precision VST so that's why I bring this up.
