In the old days of the white livery the operator logo was just atop the driver's window.perthbus wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 11:26 pmThe Transperth and ‘Bus operated by’ decals all need to be moved further forward to avoid being partially obscured by advertising, or better still relocated to above the front entry door.
There’s really no benefit to having the ‘Bus operated by’ decals as on a fair % of the fleet, it’s covered by APN/JCD advertising.

2309 has been refurbished and looks like it will be heading to TransKununurra as it has the TK decals attached to it.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2021
B8 is 2777, got a closer glimpse today. The entire bus has been repainted silver but not yet in CAT livery.komen_413 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 11:07 pm There is another B8 parked at the back of Malaga depot that could be heading off for the CATs next.
I couldn't see the rego of it properly but the green stripe at the front where the Volvo badge is has been painted silver just like the other B8s in the CAT fleet.
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2021
weird why they pick random 27x b8. if they want to pick 27x from path why not early number (2773 and 2774) or latest number (2786 and 2787) from their depot.

The PTA make the decisions as to what buses move where. As to their method of deciding, well that's anyones guess...
The reason that 2777-2782 are going instead of 26xx/29xx vehicles is that PATH have an excess of vehicles because of the withdrawal of the 340 Route.
We gunzels have to remember that at the end of the day, a bus is just a bus to the PTA. Fleet numbers are simply a number in the system that says "this bus belongs to this contract, is at this depot and is operated by that bus company", hence why it doesn't matter what company has what bus...

If it's not a ZF, take it back!

Route 340 is getting pulled, but many new routes are being introduced when Airport Line opens. Some resources from Morley may get shifted to Kalamunda.

We will likely see an influx of extra buses for the Kalamunda contract be delivered closer to the opening of FAL….
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2021
2268 move to karrinyup i am not sure is is swap with 2075. Also is 2075 already at Rockingham or still at Karrinyup
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2021
Wonder if this is permanent or if PTA have put in an order for more B8 “midis”

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2021
Permanent I'd imagine, if it was only temporary I doubt they would have gone to the expense of re-wrappin/painting the entire bus, woulda made more sense to leave green and silver like the Joondy B8s
2075s at Rocky, and 2220 is back from refurb

I wonder if this is for the upcoming Purple Cat that serves PCH.
As for 2880 and 2881, I believe they will be redeployed once the BZLs enter service.
