Likewise have seen a 144 service suddenly show up at Bondi Beach, then reappear closer to the actual route before eventually showing up on route - all in a matter of minutes.

Why it does this occasionally (like when it showed a 320 bus in the middle of Artarmon Bunnings which it terminates opposite from...) is a bit of a mystery, but probably some glitch in the tracking system/feed.

I had a 775 (busways) show on the wrong side of the train line then I realised it interworked with the 780 and that tripview was ahead of itself. Also good to work out what depot is sending buses to work each route on jointly operated routes as you can see them when there leaving the depots or running dead off other routes eg school or work routes.

I was on a Northern Beaches service that took a wrong turn (The driver eventually had to do a '100 point turn' to turn back as the road narrowed and he couldn't continue forward and get out of trouble gracefully).
This 'detour' was shown on Tripview. I kind if felt sorry for the driver as his mistake would have been logged.

I've seen my local buses pop up in odd places, I presume the driver has logged into the Opal terminal before reaching the start of shift point and the system starts sending route location data the moment the driver logs in, matter where they are.

That could be embarrassing if he's been to his mistress for a quickie!

I think this may be a bit of a contender for this thread. This is only a small snippet, bus was seen ploughing through houses and a school previously.

Last time I checked the Pyrmont Bridge was pedestrian only and buses didn't float on the water
EDIT: Bus dissapeared off the trackers shortly later, mysterious
