Re: Error message.
My upgrade feedback: Of course, still being a version of phpBB, it retains the familiar layout and shapes (e.g. rounded corners of certain content) while sharpening up some edges for a modern look, meaning the main layout has barely changed. It'll take some time to adapt to the 'little' changes, such as the 'hot topics' and button design changes, including the quote button now being quote marks (") rather than saying 'QUOTE,' and larger button sizes for pages, but this is definitely a neat little upgrade. Aforementioned errors have been fixed, with the darned parse error gone, no duplicate posts, and I've received my first e-mail notifications from the ATDB in about 6 months!
I am not a fan of the phpBB 3.1+ screen responsive design on mobile, I miss being able to access the non-modified desktop version on a mobile phone. And now, where the forum screen would go right up to the edges of the window, there is an unnecessary gap between the forum window and the browser window, like so: Minor note - where the tab title used to read "ATDB • Index Page," it now just reads "- Index Page." It is a bit annoying, but being something small, it should be fixed relatively easily.

I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

"Search" only seems to bring up information more than 10 years old - for instance a search for "Hillsbus" brings up nothing.

Re: Error message.
That's happened to other forums who've upgraded as well - SkyScraper City, after changing from VBulletin to XenForo a few months ago has resulted in a 10-year gap in search history.

But now it does pick up the Hillsbus in the above post I have just made.

Re: Error message.
^^Again, same with other forums who've upgraded.
Also to note, forum statistics have been reset - whereas the 'largest users online' was 1000+ on March 18 before, it has reset to read 156 users this afternoon.

The number of users is something I reset - I am not aware that any other statistics have reset.

The only other number that I stats that I seem to be missing are the number of thanks that each person has given/received, although that no longer seems to be a feature at all.Fleet Lists wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 9:40 pm The number of users is something I reset - I am not aware that any other statistics have reset.

Not sure if to post it in here or in it's own thread but If you click on a photo in the ATDB photo gallery, it asks for a login username & password to view the photo otherwise all anyone can now view is a tiny thumbnail image.

When I searched "Perth" last night, there was only stuff from 2008-ish back. I searched "Perth" this afternoon, and now stuff from 2016 is showing up.Fleet Lists wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 9:16 pm "Search" only seems to bring up information more than 10 years old - for instance a search for "Hillsbus" brings up nothing.

I'm quite disappointed that the "view active topics" feature has disappeared through this update, as I used to use it to see which topics across the board had recent activity.
Now I have to look through each individual section if I want to see more than the most recent post.

I believe we're all missing the thank count because I don't have it either, i thought that the thank function was only there to prevent Redundant posts like "Thank you." etc.J_Busworth wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 5:29 pmThe only other number that I stats that I seem to be missing are the number of thanks that each person has given/received, although that no longer seems to be a feature at all.Fleet Lists wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 9:40 pm The number of users is something I reset - I am not aware that any other statistics have reset.

Mind you, the server is claiming a 'high load' is restricting search functionality presently. Hope this helps, anyway.BroadGauge wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 7:27 pm I'm quite disappointed that the "view active topics" feature has disappeared through this update, as I used to use it to see which topics across the board had recent activity.

Re: Error message.
It is an add on feature which the technical people are still working on to see if it can be fitted but there are some higher priorities such a stopping spammers - we got flooded with over 100 of them today.MotorOmnibus8562 wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 7:31 pmI believe we're all missing the thank count because I don't have it either, i thought that the thank function was only there to prevent Redundant posts like "Thank you." etc.J_Busworth wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 5:29 pm

Testing what thou hath postith - to check if that "parse error" has been fixed!
Edit: Yep!
Edit-2: When I searched for the word "hsth" in my post, it came up with no results. It did find my posts when I just used my username.

Re: Error message.
A month since upgrade, and the parse error seems to have gone for good - although I don't want to say 100% it's gone, since my sayings sometimes have a habit of jinxing themselves. I have adapted to the new quirks and features such as visual design of this new system now, although I do still miss the old thanks feature - I understand why it's missing but do hope that it can be restored in the near future.

Re: Error message.
I have had no problems with this since the upgrade, although it now seems to be not possible to delete PMs.
Seems to be a known problem for which a patch is available. I presume this needs to be applied at the server?Information

Re: Error message.
I had a new error today, while trying to bulk delete a number of PM's.
Selecting the ckeck box for about a dozen PM's, then trying to delete them resulted in the error message "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again." The PM's were not deleted.
Deleting PM's individually works fine.

Same here, regardless of mass deletion or singular deletion, the form still appears invalid.
