Re: Error message.
I have also just noticed that. The first time it happened I repeated the post finishing up with four posts, three of which I have since deleted.
PS I have also just deleted a duplicate from Boronia.
PS No2 - It also happened after sending a PM to another admin about this.

Re: Error message.
Got the same thing when approving a post earlier. It seems that despite showing an error message, posts, messages etc are still submitted successfully when the post button is clicked.

Re: Error message.
But why is the error showing up?
An asset of NSW. All opinions/comments are strictly my own.

'me too'. I just tried deleting all cookies stored for the site and logging in again.Aurora wrote:But why is the error showing up?
At least this thread proves it was not 'just me'.
Addition - deleting all stored cookies appears to have removed the error - this post, posted without an issue. Now see if 'edit' works too

Re: Error message.
Testing to see whether the problem has gone after clearing my cookies.
Edit.
Yes problem gone - so recommended that members who have this problem delete their board cookies - see option at bottom right on most screens.

Re: Error message.
And is also back when I just posted a message so it seem to be only a temporary solution. xxxx
But OK when I posted this and also when I edited it later.
So still a bit of a mystery.

Re: Error message.
After posting and receiving the error, I suggest reloading the page and just going to the index page. This has helped with me. Perhaps just delete all board cookies after posting each time.
EDIT: Quick Reply doesn't seem to be affected.

Re: Error message.
Today's outage whatever it was, has not resolved the problem as it still occurred when I just approved a post.
PS And when I posted this.

Re: Error message.
Since the error messages I've noticed the "View New Posts" page is showing stuff from over a week ago, despite my having read posts (or marked everything as read). Not sure if they are related issues or not.

Re: Error message.
I’m getting the same error across both the desktop site, using the site through my phone and on Tapatalk.

Re: NSW Railway Observations 2019
Has anyone noticed that they haven't been receiving updates for new posts by email? The last one I received was on 14 November. I don't know whether it's me or a problem with the forum.
Re: NSW Railway Observations 2019
Likewise. It coincided with the appearance of that code that appeared when trying to post (which I've now adapted to!).Transtopic wrote:Has anyone noticed that they haven't been receiving updates for new posts by email? Re: NSW Railway Observations 2019
Perhaps posting this in the thread discussing the problem would be better than "railway observations"?Transtopic wrote:Has anyone noticed that they haven't been receiving updates for new posts by email? When you refresh the page to finish posting, just head to the index page. Your original post will have been posted without duplicates,

Re: Error message.
Just to update, the same posts from mid-November are still showing up as "New Posts," despite all being marked as read. Suspect there is a correlation between that and the error message.Merc1107 wrote:Since the error messages I've noticed the "View New Posts" page is showing stuff from over a week ago, despite my having read posts (or marked everything as read). On the plus side, if I edit my posts, the error message does not appear.

Re: Error message.
Been a bit, after checking my inbox, I found the last thread reply notification e-mail I received was on November 14, correlating between the first few instances of the error messages and the start date of the 'new posts'.Merc1107 wrote:Just to update, the same posts from mid-November are still showing up as "New Posts," despite all being marked as read.
