Macquarie Park is the wrong end for CDC. All of their work starts at the other end.

Macquarie Park will be fully electric. Would make the most sense for it to go to Busways

Don't think this has been posted yet, so posting it here. This ASX announcement about Transit System's contract win in Region 2/15 provides exact dates: 8 October 2023 - 28 June 2031. https://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20230220/ ... p80dgj.pdf

It’s interesting that a official statement with all the details about the new region 2 contract randomly appears on the official website for the Australian stock exchange

I think you'll find that listed companies make announcements to the ASX quite regularly. See for example:

Transdev have been doing lots of contract based bus transferring when it comes to the make up of the current region 10 and region 13 fleets for when the hand over for the new region 3 (Transit Systems) and region 10 (U-Go) contracts start. Interline and Busabout would be getting their fleet of current region 2 and region 15 contracted buses ready get transferred into this new region 2 contract

What would Busabout and Interline need to do to get their fleets ready for transfer? I would have thought that they simply hand over their contract buses on the transfer date. Their non contract buses could be a different story.
I have noticed that Transdev has been doing quite a few inter region transfers but I have not seen any reason for this. In some cases buses have been transferred and then back a few weeks later.

Might be a requirement to hand buses debranded, but that can be done in a jiffy.

Maybe a few more Transport For NSW repaints for the buses with the Interline blue front livery and maybe change the seats on the only 2014 built Busabout spec MAN 18.320 VST that were ordered for the 2014 region 15 contract with blue vinyl seats I've got a blank on the rego of the bus in question but I'm pretty sure that the rego ends in 97

I think they ares the last thing they would want to do. Why spends money on those things when they are about to go out of business.

I can't see them having any incentive to spend money on that.

Then again, I don't see any incentive for any operator to repaint their older buses to the TfNSW colours, yet Transit Systems, TJH, Busways have been slowly but surely painting their ex-STA buses into the new livery. This includes the Scania Oranas, which have their service life most likely measured in months

That depends on the wording of their contracts - the three operators listed have later ex STA contracts which may include clauses about this.

Sounds like a terrible waste of money having such a clause.

I posted that back on 4th May.

I am surprised there are still no news items on either Transport for NSW or CDCNSW websites.

Linto63 wrote: Tue Apr 18, 2023 12:14 pm Appears that the CDC Charter branding is being applied to all of CDC's non route service fleet. As well as the previously reported application on Coastal Liner vehicles, Hillsbus vehicles no longer used in route service, e.g. the high floor Custom bodied Volvo B10MAs have had CDC charter stickers applied to their TFNSW livery but retain Hillsbus, Seven Hills accreditation.

From the CDC website
CDC CHARTER WELCOMES OUR COASTAL LINER CUSTOMERS

Coastal Liner joins the CDC Family.

Our teams have been working hard behind the scenes to bring Coastal Liner into the CDC Family. This has taken some time as we change systems, implement changes and learn all about each other. Now we can say we are one.

We recognise Coastal Liner’s history and service to the customers on the Central Coast and beyond and as CDC Charter we hope to continue that tradition.

We have had to make some changes, and the ceasing of Entertainment Tours was one change that has already occurred but we hope you, our valued customers, come along for the ride with us as we introduce CDC Charter on the Coast.
It is also noticed that the Coastal Liner website now redirects to CDC Charter. https://cdcbus.com.au/charter/hire-a-bus/ as does CDC Travel

It's a shame it does not shown its other CDC NSW services such as 600 at Hornsby and the handful of region 4 routes in Macquarie Park and City etc.

I've never been fond of the maps by operator concept as in this case here, but given the region 4 entity is technically separate (saw some buses with "CDC NSW Region 4 Pty Ltd" accreditation on them), potential that if TfNSW or a contracted entity created said map it should only show the routes from that region/entity?

Plus, if you start adding those routes in, where do you stop if other region's routes are added in (albeit from different operators)?
A Sydney wide map in detail (now that would be something to see)?

The new region 14 is now live with CDC with the new timetables now live on Transport for NSW showing CDC NSW as operator and the CDC NSW website now also linking to the ex region 12 routes. But no news as yet on either the CDC NSW or Transport for NSW websites. And the region 4 timetables still show Hillsbus as operator although that region is also supposed to have cut over to the CDC NSW operator name some weeks ago. Possibly a problem with the Transport for NSW website as it was reported for CDC Canberra routes which still show the operator name.

Only 14 at this stage see https://fleetlists.busaustralia.com/cdc ... epotreq=MK the other 6 changes are not related to MK.
It looks as though the ex Transdev contract buses are still to come. It will be interesting to see where the the Transdev non contract buses from region 12 finish up.
