I would say no, and by the looks of whats happened so far I have very serious doubts as to whether the supposed Scania's ever were to exist and not the figmant of someones imagination, as nobody has yet been able to prove definitively that anyone ever ordered any.

As these are for the Metrostar service, like 900-910 these will be MAN 16.240's.

911 has been in servic for a few months now. 900 - 906 are red and 907 - 910 are metros. 911 is red and 912 will be metro. There is one scania completed. I have seen it. Its just waiting on some fibreglass panels. Whether red bus keep them or not is another matter. Redbus will still receive the remaining 7 MAN single axles.

Ritchies first Designline Scania for Dunedin has arrived http://www.odt.co.nz/news/dunedin/18323 ... hill-today

A tag axle seems a waste in Dunedin to be honest especially on the routes Ritchies have.

Maybe for now? I think Ritchies generally like big buses.

 That's a very unfamiliar sight to see a tag.

I wonder if a tag is too rigid for Dunedin, given Dunedin's terrain (load wise I'm not too worried as running cost isn't much higher). Would that be part of a bulk purchase?

Terrain shouldn't be an issue in Dunedin as Wellington has a fleet of tag axles.

That's interesting, it would be a shame to see the historical "Suburban" branded Buses replaced if not sucessful, However, a new modern fleet of buses for the City would be a positive ( the only provincial City in NZ that has managed to operate a non SLF urban fleet... to be corrected as it has been over a year since I last visited )

The tender called for low floor busses and on some routes low floor tags. Would cost alot for the current operator to upgrade the fleet.

I think that they are the agents for NZ. Some Zonda School Buses have been added to the SBL fleet, although I do not think that they are used on urban services.
