The "new" junk is Ansair Built mans ex Brisbane but of course they are at least SLF so can do the job.

Just to note Zhong Tong 218 has been sent up from Invercargill but also there doesn't appear to be anything gone from the Dunedin depot yet.

Er I think you will find that the MAN buses that were bodied for Brisbane have had Volgren and A.B Denning bodies and Ansair bodied MAN buses were for the MET in Melbourne.I would like to see a picture of this Ansair bodied MAN.

Quite a few substitutions from the PT to Citibus fleet today; a PT 12.223 on St Clair-Normanby, 41 Volvo on Balaclava, one of the Brisbane Ansairs in Warehouse livery also on the Balaclava route. I'd wondered if some if the Citibus vehicles had been taken out of service, but maybe not? I haven't seen the ex-Orbiters used much recently.

This has been happening more often this week and it seems some of these changes are permanent. But ive spotted Citibus 321 & 316 both on 4 Garden Village - 24 Ocean Grove and various Citibus 12.223's on 60 Bradford - 59 University. Ex orbiters are still around it just seems to be random if some vehicles are put on service or not each day.

I think you will find that the two MANs 11.220 coming from the Invercargill fleet are ex STA Newcastle 3690 and 3691 and not ex Brisbane as the MAN chassis under the Brisbane Ansair ones were 10.155.But I can`t verifie weather any Brisbane MAN 10.155s were imported to New Zealand as the Queensland fleet-list doesn`t tell you.

I am aware the 11.220's are ex STA as one was put into service in 2004 still wearing its STA livery (they are Dunedin based not Invercargill). I dont mind this pair however its the Brisbane ones I dont like. Passenger Transport has 6 of them and Tranzit owns some inlcuding two that belonged to Whangarei Bus Services.

Why would anyone want a photo of the bus exchange its stuffed its been yellow stickered meaning restricted use Metro are getting a new site ready at 121-141 Tuam Street its suppost to be ready end of September but we shall have to wait and see on that score. They also advise there are timetable changes coming and that we will get services after 10pm at night as far as I'm concerned they left the stable door open and the horse bolted before they had a chance to put it right. 7 months after the deadly quake we get late services back.

General - South Island (Part 3)

Nick, I know it's hard living in Christchurch at the moment. There is no need for the negative comments. For some of us not in country we are interested in seeing photos of the city. I must also be hard for all services to get up and running properly, particularly the transport system. What with the two lots of snow I guess give them a break.

At this stage why would GoBus need new buses at all?

Just to note the two Go Bus Zhong Tongs on lease to Mosgiel Coach Services must have been sent back to Christchurch. In their place are two Redbus 2009 Man 16.280's 904 & 906.
