I know lockdown is probably one for the "What Gives you the S%$*ts" thread, but there is a silver lining to the cloud... Australia's Got Talent has been cancelled (again) this year.

One reality TV show down, a few dozen to go.

Don't count on it. The network's ate addicted to them as the commoners lap it up and I imagine they are cheap to make compared to a real production where they have to pay celebrities rates.

It was fantastic when Seven's ill fated Restaurant Revolution flopped so much, a silly cat video compilation doubled ratings. Heartening to also know the hoi polloi still have some degree of standards not to take to that nauseating Zumbo's Just Desserts crap. They got their namesake haha.

Making me happy today is getting more than I bargained for: Some Volgren Optimus shots at Lakemba (Banko bustitution) when just as I was lining the camera for my last Opti (Hillsbus #6384) before calling it a day, I received a visit from a 'civilised' individual (civilised by hip-hop Lakemba standards), whom after jaywalking right towards me for taking photos of buses, and also filming me like some young 'Worldstar!!!' high-schooler as if we're in America (what good is he going to get out of showing that, since I was wearing a mask and a cap!??) I've assertively told this 'gentleman' to mind his own business and he replied with some choice words and a nice, shiny bird. (Yes; that 'bird' you're thinking of.)

The choice process:
Passive: Get bashed.
Aggressive: Get bashed.
Assertive: Make it home with the bus photos instead of a fist-shaped implant in my face
Volgren all day, every day

Our internet connection being restored after an outage, just in time for us to watch Wheeler Dealers on 9 Now.

We have 4 major programs we watch daily during lockdown, NSW Covid press conference, VIC Covid press conference, Judge Judy and Wheeler Dealers.

Not the American taken over version the respected Ed China quit from, basically due to his disgust at the direction it was taking.

Flamin' Hot Doritos might be good, but 150g "large" promotional chip packets belong in the S&#T's page. Come on Aldi, bring out a 200g hot chilli version of your own "Doritos" clone like you did with the Blackstone "Kettle" chips.

I noticed that and it's sneaky. Worse then regular shrink-inflation as the special flavour is clearly used as an excuse to reduce the amount, increasing their profit margin significantly.

Seeing Judge Judy preside over a case of someone suing over Lego. Was good lockdown therapy.

I wonder if tomorrow someone will sue their neighbour over the loan of a cup of sugar, or their dog pooped on their driveway.

You should see some of those Dumpster Divers on Youtube, not only private residences (say UNI Neighborhoods & stuff) but also private businesses throw out perfectly still good working items, some electronics or shelving coming to mind. The term "one mans junk is another mans treasure" can't be said enough in that instance.

On the other hand, said places are slowly becoming more & more aware their bins are being looted for salvage by said people so they just start pad locking bins or breaking whatever their chucking out making it pretty worthless.

That really grinds my gears. To break something for the sole purpose that someone else they don't know can't benefit. That is a mental sickness.

Also was there any need for that final remark in brackets? Why do you need to distance yourself that way?

13 days for a parcel to reach me from the United Kingdom is impressive, especially during a time like right now where the postal network is swamped with thousands & thousands of packages & everyone is buying more online. The last time I ordered from the United Kingdom which was a couple of months ago & it took close to a month then for my parcel to reach me.

Quickest international parcel I had was one that came all the way from Estonia last year & was being handled by DHL & that took just a week to reach me.

A group of ravens that join me every morning in a local park, while I have a t/a coffee and read the paper at a table. They have become very comfortable with me, I put a bowl of water out for them and have tried various foods. If I'm eating a fruit toast or similar they come right up into my personal space and want to take it from my mouth. If I have a bag of surprises they grab and rip at it, so we have a friendly tug-of-war. Sometimes I'll have a cookie and they'll grab it and dunk it in the water, and then eat it softened from there. They hide surplus snacks in the leaf litter and cover it with leaves. They take fresh cat food mince from my finger, but their favourite is fresh chicken wings - very like the carrion they eat on the sides of roads. It is such a pleasure to be up close with these wild native animals. The young one even jabbers to me in raven speak. Absolutely a wow experience !
Think for yourself, while it's still legal !
