1987 Denning Landseer 8V92 For Sale

Post by daxx »

Hi all,

My wife & I were hoping to build our dream motorhome with beautiful ex Mcafferty's Landseer. She has done 90,000k's since a full rebuild. The inside is almost completely stripped out. The next stage for me was raising the roof! However, our plans have changed and very reluctantly, she needs to go to a new home.

1987 Denning Landseer
8V92 Detroit Engine
7 Speed box
Long Range Tank
Build No. 1187
Service No. 335
Not Registered
She Drives beautifully
Thermo king air con has been removed
All seats have been removed

asking $58,000

if anyone is interested or you know anyone who might be.. please contact me

thats to much money!! I know we always say it doesnt matter how much they ask! But I saw a big batch of these about 6 months ago for 35-40 grand, ex Toowonba! The thing with this one its 20 grand more, has 20 grand of seat belted seats removed and the people have taken the air cond system out, a project for anyone wanting to keep this bus going as a coach, otherwise an expensive motorhome project for someone to play with!

Thank you for your comments funbus.. Were all of the units you saw 6 months ago running long range fuel tanks with rebuilt 8V92's in them? This unit would not suit returning to public service.. It is however an excellent base for a motorhome.. 22 year old full service seats 20,000??? I don't think so.. The air con was removed because they are too heavy (and pose a health risk after being in service for so long) and too high.. especially if one intends to raise the roof 200 or 250mm.. :D

Fair call daxx!! But the reality is I dont look at buses to be future homes, and there is no reason to why this kind of bus at this age cant be re used as a bus/coach proposition again, especially in Victoria. I dont know how many of you have tried to price a set of new seats 50+ seats anyway, seatbelted. You will find that $800 per double unit, seatbelted would be cheap as chips new. That is if you dont want to hunt around looking for good second hand ones!! Plus putting there air cond system back in doesnt sound cheap either!!So I think my point is justified. This is a bus forum, dont know if a motorhome forum exists!! Anyway if this is your bus daxx, sorry to offend you! , but it is my view to this forum, and thats my beliefs!

Hi Daxx, you've still got the old price in the description of your eBay listing...may confuse someone. Do you have any of the seats for sale?
