Ventura Dandenong 1063 (Volvo B7RLE Optimus) has received the front driver protection poles, it's a copy of whats installed on bus 1068 which was trialling the anti violence protection poles.

Buses - and drivers - would have been in short supply. It was a normal week day after all... Pretty amazing effort to get as many out there as they did.josh01 wrote:Caught T29 on the bus replacement yesterday have to say its in bad condition compared to when it was with

Re: oakleigh depot
I assumed Ventura, Centre Road only because the few times I've been past it has been almost empty. CDC Eastrans is in Oakleigh too am I right? If so was the ex-Driver stock pushed in there and did they have trouble finding room?

How about someone from admin explain it to Denair rather than letting him get on his high horse.

To clarify the situation, these posts were moved to the Ventura thread by an administrator - the question was asked before this move took place.DENAIR wrote:Volvo B9r

Noticed 1012 (PTV livery) wearing some sticky tape in the corner above the front door this morning.
Re: Ventura Group news August - December 2015
That's not an unusual occurrence in 2015! I also noticed Ventura #962 is running around with no livery and duct tape covering obvious cracks in the shell.Heihachi_73 wrote:Noticed 1012 (PTV livery) wearing some sticky tape in the corner above the front door this morning.

Re: Ventura Group news August - December 2015
Several Ventura buses I rode in on Monday had internal signs giving the bus number. Is this a recent development?

Yes Paul, very recent. It's being rolled out through the whole fleet. I finished the ones at Lilydale last Friday before going on holidays.Paul_Nicholson wrote:Several Ventura buses I rode in on Monday had internal signs giving the bus number. Is this a recent development?

I think the hope is that it will make it easier for passengers to identify which bus they were on in the event of them needing to make a lost property enquiry or a service complaint/compliment.Paul_Nicholson wrote:Several Ventura buses I rode in on Monday had internal signs giving the bus number. Or you could, you know, not leave things on the bus.
95% of complaints are bullshit and there are about 10 compliments a year.

Re: Ventura Group news August - December 2015
It would appear that Alstom 888M is suggesting that most complaints to bus companies are frivolous or vexatious? If that's the case one could imagine some real "howlers" that create considerable laughter and merriment in the offices of the companies concerned?
But what about the five percent of complaints that he suggests are genuine or justified?
I guess it's part of Australian culture not to compliment the likes of a bus company for a "job well done"?
