REFERENCE PHOTOS & DATA NEEDED FOR VARIOUS SECTIONS
Hello guys, today I present my latest project for OMSI 2 (Which should be released sometime this month-September?).
It is based on the MAN SL202 units from Sydney Buses and I'm trying to keep it as realistic as possible.
The front-left side (I need reference photos for the top edges)
The rear-right side (The lights at the top will be fixed)
The rear-left side
The front-right side
List of areas where data or photos are needed;
1.Hubcaps (Front and Rear)
2.Actual tires (R22.5 size?)
3.The vent at the left rear (No idea what it does or what it looks like in 3D)
4.The exhaust stack
5.Emergency exit hatches
6.Dashboard
7.Drivers cab
8.Seats
To-be-FAQ:
1. When will this be released as a finished product?
Sometime in the 2nd quarter of 2014, in both LHD and RHD versions.
2.Will this be freeware or payware?
This depends on who/how I get the sounds and textures from.
Any comments or constructive criticism

Well they're both bodyworks designed with VÖV standards in mindGeelongBuses wrote:This bus almost looks like Benders #22!

On a different note, what route do you think will best pair with a MAN SL202 or a Mercedes 0405 (PMC of course) to represent Sydney at its best ?
Since Ryde's 0405s are well out of the feral-zone in the west and Willoughby doesn't even have any SL202s left, I'm stuck for ideas...

Re: [OMSI 2] MAN-SL202 PMC W.I.P.
Probably a dumb question, but did the SL202s or the O405's operate along 380? What about a route that crosses the Harbour Bridge? Seeing as Bondi and the Harbour Bridge are two of Sydney's biggest tourist destinations, I feel like they could be represented in OMSI format. If you were building a map to go along your SL202/O405 models, you could build your map to what it looked like in the years where the SL202s and O405s dominated the streets. I'd enjoy something like that.DavidH21 wrote:On a different note, what route do you think will best pair with a MAN SL202 or a Mercedes 0405 (PMC of course) to represent Sydney at its best?

Route 200, Chatswood - Bondi Junction? Both Waverley MkVs and Willoughby MAN SL202s served on it in the past, and it crosses the Bridge. You could even use a bit of artistic licence and extend it to Nth Bondi / Bondi Beach..?DavidH21 wrote:Well they're both bodyworks designed with VÖV standards in mindGeelongBuses wrote:This bus almost looks like Benders #22!

If anybody feels that this topic is just taking up bandwidth and being utterly useless and un-updated, look here http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/top ... -sl202-pmc.
The Aussiex post is always updated and features many more content than on show here .
Best Regards,
David.

Both MkVs and SL 202s operated on the Alisson Road services that run between the city and Coogee, for example. That would be a lovely route to recreate as Randwick depot is only a block from Alisson Road itself.
