Re: New Hillsbus at Volgren!
There are apparently 17 new "growth" buses coming for Hillsbus - not sure if that figure includes the 5 deckers or not.grenda bus 669 wrote:I was at Volgren in Dandenong which is a suburb in Melbourne and i got a pic of this new Hillsbus.grenda bus 669

Re: New Hillsbus at Volgren!
Nice scoop of sorts. More B7RLEs I take it? I haven't seen alloys on one of these before.
Great to see more coming as I find these one of my favourite modern buses going around Sydney.

Alcoa wheels are a factory option for Volvos and they save quite a bit of weight.

27 according to TfNSW:Geoff wrote:There are apparently 17 new "growth" buses coming for Hillsbus - not sure if that figure includes the 5 deckers or not.
Geoff.
Taken from the TfNSW Northern CBD bus improvements page (http://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/news/no ... provements)Funding has been allocated by the NSW Government for 27 new buses for Hillsbus this financial year to improve service frequency, reduce travel times and increase seating availability on a number of the highest demand routes from the area. There are plans for some of these additional buses to operate on the Dural routes.
The funding is made available under the Growth Buses Program and is about providing additional bus services, where and when our customers need them to make journeys easier, faster and more comfortable.
Time for a new signature!

Re: New Hillsbus at Volgren!
there is also another volgren in eagle farm next to airport, because Volgren Brisbane can do share their ordered new buses for any states, and I know they're currently making B7RLE atm for BT, and I think they re current making a school bus vehicle.

Re: New Hillsbus at Volgren!
I'm so used to the CB80 body on the B7 chassis the Volgren looks positively ponderous. I'm curious as to the
weight difference between the two?
