FUSO Motorhome

I was laying over between runs when i saw this mighty motorhome pull in behind me so i quickly jumped out to take a few shots.
You dont see too many motorhomes with duel tandem axles, definately would need a HR licence to drive this.

You certainly have plenty of room to move around hey vern.But I bet the owner had to pay for three parking spaces for this monster.

Certainly is big monster Vern, wonder what the fuel usage for it would be.Being like a brick would use a large amount.

This BIG Motorhome looks like to me, a converted bus from a truck chassie.

Yeh he sure would of, this thing just blew me away, they were an elderly couple who got out of it, i reckon you wouldn't get much change out of 500'K.

I don't know what LCC's policy is on large vehicles parking in metered spaces is but in Hobart as long as Bay #2 was in credit it wouldn't matter if bay #3 was expired. After all large vehicles are somewhat limited to as where they can park near a CBD. i don't think it would fit into the Paterson Street Car Parks

Looks like front engined, I think Fuso has a V-10 diesel.

The wings on the front look like the wings from New Zealand Motorhome & Caravan Assocation, don't know if caravan clubs have them in Australia?

They're intended for trucks that have a low deck height. There are a handful of them in Perth and I think they're direct imports.

They call the Mitsubishi Fuso 8x4 the Super Great in the Asia-Pacific,Middle East and South America region and in New Zealand its called the Mitsubishi Fuso 8x4 is called Shogun.I`d say the 8x4 chassis would of come from New Zealand.The Super Great or Shogun had 12 engine options and 7 gearbox options.

Could be an NZ chassis, and probably an NZ motorhome body - no one else builds vehicles that ugly.

This monster is a 1988 Mitsubishi FS428 Vin/chassis no:0006 so the truck chassis is 24 years old
