( WA ) Daimler motor home

This was taken in February 1989, when it could be seen by everybody looking for Dophins at Shark bay.I went back in March 1992, and not only had all the joy been regulated out of the site, but the bus was built into a much grander structure. Is this ex MTT, and if so ,does anybody know its identity?

Welcome SMS88AEC - and thanks for posting the photo.

Yes, it's definitely an ex-MTT Daimler Freeline from the group 288 to 307 & originally with WA Government Tramways.

I don't know which one of the 20 it is, however.

Thankyou all, I´m pleased to share some of the odd photographs that I took the 3 times I drove all the way around Australia.I hope to find out a bit about the unidentified vehicles and what happened to my favourites - the Kirklands Merlins , Surfside Nationals and Perth Panthers - especially those City Clippers -wonderful buses to just ride about on and compare very well with the stuff been operated elsewhere
Here is SMS88, which I owned from 1990 to 1996 and hope to own again one day soon.....

I didnt even stop at Telegraph point, but when I was in the Blue Mountains (4 times -stayed with my 4 cousins in Campbelltown) I did look for the ex-Hadfields Merlin that was sold to Katoomba Bus service in 1987 with no luck- do you have any photos of either of these?

The only bus I photographed on the hot sunny visits to the Blue Mountains was this one- no Merlin in the yard but at least I had an idea of the colors it had worn - I assumed it was scrapped when I visited in 1988,89 and 91 but I see from another htread here that the company had another depot :?:

Great to see your photos are still visible, SMS88AEC!

For years that Daimler Freeline was unidentified. However another photo surfaced with the photographer stating that it was ex-300.

It has also moved & captured on google maps in Doodlakine cMar 2025

Your other photo, coincidentally, was another unidentified bus. Thanks to your photo (the only one of it in K-L livery) I think it might be ex-430.
