Look like thompsons purchase another ex vehicle from Victoria. i saw Volgren optimus with half PTV livery (Chasis probably scania) with Thompsons desto at Southern Coast Way. Quite surprise to ex victoria bus sell to QLD with young vehicle and still more older vehicle still running on normal route. Did anyone know what happen to that vehicle?

The red and white one photographed and posted yesterday was new to Moonee Valley and was sold with their route bus business to Dysons. When the government re-tendered the area concerned Kinetic beat out Dysons but Dysons elected not to sell the buses to Kinetic. So a whole bunch of em went over to Torrens in Adelaide and were used on the Glenelg tram replacement which finished at the end of January. Quite a few have been retained by Torrens but a few were resold to Thompson. Some others might pop up as well.

Yes Thompsons has received 12 Scania K320CB’s, 2 Volvo B8RLE’s and 2 Iveco Metro Midis for Rail Replacement works. Might be 4 more Scanias coming soon as well which haven’t been registered yet.

Only 3 have been withdrawn so far, (72, 73, 74) I don’t think they are getting rid of all of them.

Park Ridge's seem to display a test screen (looks like loaded drivers or modules), and a generic "Translink" screen with the wrong logo.

Wondering if it's a default component on newer Volgren's and not setup to operate properly? Clark's have PIDs that work normally on many of their newest deliveries.

Interesting ride on 9172 MO, Volvo B12BLE
Volgren Volvo B12BLE Volgren "CR221L" this morning from Northgate to Bowen Hills. It’s come from Cooma Coaches in the Hunter Valley but not seen on fleet tracker since Nov 2025. It’s the only CR221L in the fleet so a good haulage.

Just seen 2 of Thomson’s fleet of ‘new’ Optimi’ with 1274 and 1357 fleet numbers on the drivers side.

1357 is 073GJT but didn’t get the reg of 1274.

Pretty disappointed with every replacement bus from Wednesday has been a wide bay transit bus, they must have at least 8 buses based here for the work. Have seen ex HBL116 out and about, also that silver thing which looks held together with gaffer tape, and some white Bustechs, cdc nsw and Mt Gravatt stuff. Makes a change to see no Kinetic buses this time.

Dysons reportedly have 11 of their buses up here for the rail shutdown.
