Hi all,
Yes, I know Southport/Actel are a horrible brand of desto (IMO at least), but I was wondering whether anyone knew where one could find the software on the web? I have manged to find Helen and MIE, so figured the Southport programme must be out there somewhere..
TIA

Re: Software for Southport/Actel
I've got it but nothing really works as the font files are corrupted in the program but the font editor works so I've been drawing the fonts into Hanover
have you managed to source Southport from anywhere? I'm currently trying to find the bold font for the SL202's / NL202's/NL232's my version of the software has Melbourne style fonts.

Re: Software for Southport/Actel
We've been trying to get ahold of Southport /Acatel destination software ourselves as we have some preserved buses with the SC22000 Controller, we did manage to find someone that has the software in a working state however expressed nil interest in wanting to help those outside of their own circle (which is a let down and selfish but that's life I suppose.
The Southport controllers were very popular in Victoria, particularly Melbourne, one of my friends did try reaching out to this company below however received no correspondence even with another followup message, their website is actively maintained so in the instance they don't support Southport controllers anymore the least they could have done is responded with a message stating as such instead of ghosting.

We have nil Hanover equipment in our preserved vehicles and outside of two or three buses as stated above, the rest is on Mobitec equipment which has been straightforward to work with.
If anyone can help supply software that would be appreciated, it has been on our volunteers work list for many months to update the files and would love to recreate said buses original displays as they had when in service.

Best of luck. The software is extremely buggy, works on no operating systems beyond Windows XP, and requires long out of production STAR / SRAM data cards and readers to transfer programs to buses.ScaniaGrenda wrote: Sat Mar 21, 2026 9:09 am We've been trying to get ahold of Southport /Acatel destination software ourselves as we have some preserved buses with the SC22000 Controller, we did manage to find someone that has the software in a working state however expressed nil interest in wanting to help those outside of their own circle (which is a let down and selfish but that's life I suppose.
Re: Software for Southport/Actel
Hi,
I’ve been looking for Southport/Actel software as well, but it seems quite hard to find reliable sources online. Most links are either outdated or missing files, especially fonts.
You might want to check older forums or archived websites, as sometimes people have shared working versions there. If I come across a proper source, I’ll share it here.
Thanks!
