I was thinking CDC too. The blue ones seem taller than normal B8s and even the all electric ones, I was just heading past on the highway…
I think they would be electrics unless someone is ordering hybrids with more EQ on the roof?

Re: Rail and private operator observations 2025
Don't the H2 buses have a lot of equipment on the roof, too? I seem to recall they were notably higher than the usual 3.3m or so of a diesel or CNG bus.
Re: Rail and private operator observations 2025
The taller buses (were there just two?) are probably the Wrightbus KG Lite Hydrobus/ Volgren Optimus one of which was presented at the 2024 bus show at Southbank. At the time it was suggested that there would be one each for CDC and one for Transdev but thet may have changed since.
