Certainly makes for a change from where you'd usually expect to find an Optimus!

I wonder which plant bodies those examples?

Japanese operators like the advantages of a fully low, stepless floor, hence the choice of the N series. Volgren has had the experience of bodying N series in RHD in Australia, probably why they were chosen.

Not sure how accurate that is as nearly everything else I rode had steps at the rear, including the BYDs and WeiSheits.

The new artics they're having delivered also have steps at the rear.

The only exception to this are the Toyota Sora Fuel Cell buses that were delivered to Toei Bus and a few other operators.
