Re: Error message.

Post by Bus Suggestions »

I cleared my cache on Sunday after receiving a generic PHP error which completely blocked access to the forum across all of my logged-in browsers and devices - after that I could access the forum, but with the header error still showing up, and the added bonus of an error displaying after every login attempt, with reloading or reopening the forum still keeping me logged out.

As of five minutes ago, however, I tried opening the forum and it worked (as you can probably tell!), and the header error no longer shows up either.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

I see there were 6 posts at various times between Friday and today, so some members were getting through?
At least it seems OK now. Thanks to whoever sorted it out.

I was seeing a list of PHPBB errors at the top of board whenever I entered the board from the home page for the last few days so it would have been something that went wrong on PHPBB forum software's end

Same here and elsewhere. Also get a “fatal” message when submitted a post, but it still goes through, hence this post!

Bottom of the page:

Code: Select all

Fatal: Not able to open ./cache/production/data_global.php
Whenever I click a post notification a different fatal error shows up, although I can still navigate normally through the subforums just fine.

Lucky that these software errors haven't made the ATDB forum crash yet which sometimes affect the main busaustralia website domain host

I got a PHP error message when unsuccessfully trying to log in earlier
Catch a Traklink bus and you're on the train.

Yep, no messages for me, and board response time is (for now) back to normal.

Yes, this has become an issue again recently, along with exceedingly sluggish response times both here, and on the fleet lists proper.

I would suggest an investigation would be in order in terms of who / what (e.g. "spiders") is attempting to access the site, and blocking their access altogether if numerous attempts at access are being made from the same IP address(es) on a repeated and ongoing basis.
