The timetables for the Light rail replacement services 80L2 and 80L3 for routes L2 and L3 next week `15th to 17th May are now available. They show the operator as Transdev NSW using region code 38 which is the code for Transdev region 13 which will only exist for another 2 months when that region goes to Transit Systems with a different region code.

Timetable for route 24T3 for 20th shows heading on first page only and in some links as 'Bankstown, Punchbowl, Lakemba, Wiley Park, Punchbowl, Bankstown" instead of Central - Bankstown.

For 23rd May there are 10 Hunter Valley replacement routes 1HU, 4HU, 6HU, 7HU, 9HU, 14HU, 15HU, 18HU, 19HU and 26HU. None of these show the name of the operator. Some of these routes including 14HU and 18HU do sometimes show Hunter Valley Buses as the operator. Routes 18HU, 19HU, and 26HU have timetable headings which are too long to fit into the pdf timetable headings even though for route 26HU Newcastle is abbreviated to Nwcstl.

Temporary timetables for route T8 from 29/5. The timetables for routes 60T8 and 62T8 show Transdev John Holland while the ones for routes 19T*and 23T8 do not show the operator name.

Hunter Valley ones from 1/6 10HU and 15HU both show Hunter Valley Buses. The previous one for 15HU did not show the operator name.

Re: Temporary Bus Route Timetables

There have been no temporary timetables uploaded since last Wednesday for this week.

There appears to be a general timetable upload problem. Normally new versions of timetables are uploaded every Monday to Friday - with the date of the latest upload shown in the "Creation date: 31 May 2023" which normally shows today's date except on Saturdays and Sundays when the date of the previous Friday is shown. Often the update is done between 8 and 9 am with the previous date shown until the update is done.
But the 31st May date has now been shown every day since last Wednesday.
This applies to all timetables for ferries, trains and buses etc except for some special manually prepared timetables.

This morning the creation date still showed 31 May 2023 but in the last hour it changed to 5 June 2023 - still a day behind.
Many temporary timetables were included in the new versions.
Blue Mountains alert 17407 for 5th and 6th June previously had four temporary routes listed but now only lists route 11BM which was not previously listed - a timetable is present
Hunter Valley changes for 9th and 10th June has routes 1HU, 7HU, 18HU, 19HU and 26HU with timetables showing Hunter Valley Buses as operator but no timetables for routes 78HU, 79HU and 8AHU.
The only other route this week so far without a timetable is City Circle route 5CC due 10th June.

Temporary timetables which show the operator name and that Opal is acceptable are still quite rare.
Some new Transdev John Holland timetables for the next few week which do show this information are:-
20T4, 23T4 and 25T4 starting 18th June as well as 60T8, 61T8 and 62T8 starting 23rd June.

Metro temporary bus route 11M for 11th July again shows as being operated by Hillsbus.
Very few timetables are available so far for the Bankstown line closure starting on the 6th July. One timetable which is available is for route 33T3 Bankstown, then all stations to Belmore, then Sydenham and is shown as being operated by Transit Systems. This timetable covers four alerts 18498, 18501, 18795 and 18797.

The TfNSW Trackwork Reference Guide web page no longer exists, this page used to display the following documents:
- Trackwork Reference Guide.
- Trackwork Bussing Map.
- Timetables (Microsoft Excel).

The link https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/sydney ... ence-guide now redirects to a new page
https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/future ... k-calendar

The future trackwork calendar document is available which was available on the previous web page link above. There have been some amendments in a short space of time. The words 'major weekday' have been removed from the current version.
Current version Monday 17/72023 - Sunday 29/10/2023.
Previous version Monday 3/72023 - Sunday 24/9/2023.

The last group of documents published:
19 - 25 June 2023 Trackwork Reference Guide v6
230619 Trackwork Bussing Map 19 - 25 June v2
230619 T1 North Shore Line
230619 T1 Western Line and Blue Mountains Line
230619 T2 T3 T5 Mon - Thu
230620 T2 T5 Wednesday
230623 T8 Airport & South Line Friday night Airport stations
230623 T8 Airport & South Line Friday night Glenfield - Sydenham
230624 T2 Line Weekend
230624 T8 Airport & South Line Airport stations

Thanks for that - I will have to have a closer look for that in the future.

And while on the 10T3 timetable. there is now the one version from 6th July to 16th July with link page stating that Opal Card is available but the operator name is not shown in the timetable which is an unusual combination. The region code in the timetable URL shows the 36 code for Transdev John Holland.

For the State of origin next week there is now a Busways timetable available for route 2. Still nothing on routes 1a and 4,

Newcastle routes 10HU, 15HU for 13th July , 1HU and 7 HU for 15th July show operator as Hunter Valley Buses.

It seems that as of last month that replacement buses no longer run on full City Circle trackwork possessions.

It looks like the last time that buses were provided was 8-11 May (weeknight):
Monday 8 to Thursday 11 May
• Nightly from 10pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.
• T1 North Shore & Western and T9 Northern Line trains continue to run between Central and Wynyard.
• The light rail also runs between Circular Quay, Wynyard, Town Hall and Central.
• T2 Leppington, T3 Bankstown and T8 Airport & South Line trains start and end at Central.
• Customers may need to change trains to continue their journey.

Bus route
5CC Central, Museum, St James, Circular Quay and return
The first time after this seems to be 10-11 June: an early morning weekend closure with the North Shore line closed between Central - Wynyard as well. Buses were only provided between Central, Town Hall and Wynyard.
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June
Daily from 4am to 6am, trains will not run on the City Circle, or between Wynyard and Central.
• For travel around the City customers can catch the light rail between Central and Circular Quay or local bus services.
• Limited rail replacement buses will run between Wynyard, Town Hall and Central, continuing to Strathfield.
• T4 Eastern Suburbs Line trains continue to run between Central and Bondi Junction, stopping at Town Hall, Martin Place and Kings Cross.

Trackwork also affects trains on other lines. Trains start and end at the following stations:
- T1 North Shore Line at Wynyard
- T1 Western Line at Strathfield
- T2 Inner West & Leppington Line at Ashfield
- T3 Bankstown and T4 Illawarra Line at Sydenham
- T8 Airport Line at Central

Bus route
27T2 Strathfield, then express to Central, then Town Hall, Wynyard and return
Then the next time was 24-25 June, where no rail replacement buses were provided. Passengers were told to use the light rail or local buses instead:
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June
Trains will not run to Museum, St James or Circular Quay.
• T1 North Shore & Western and T9 Northern Line trains continue to run between Central, Town Hall and Wynyard.
• T4 Eastern Suburbs Line trains continue to run between Central, Town Hall, Martin Place and Kings Cross.
•The light rail runs between Central and Circular Quay.
• Customers travelling to:
- Circular Quay, change at Wynyard for the light rail or walk
- Museum or St James, change at Central or Town Hall for local buses or walk
• Other lines are also affected by this work.

To be fair I'm not sure they're really needed. There are plenty of local buses, the light rail, the T4 to take up the slack

The Saturday 10th/Sunday 11th June early morning closure may have warranted buses given it started at 4am, but the light rail didn't have services until 5am as far as I can tell (the other related trackwork at the same time would probably have played a part in potentially justifying the limited rail bus service).

Blue Mountains Line alert 19014 17/7/2023 contains three routes
Route 46BM shows Blue Mountains Transit as operator.
Routes 41BM and 43BM do not show operator and no Opal Card - recent usage of these routes has shown the operator and allowed Opal Card.
Initially this alerts also showed route 7BM but this has now been deleted - when used this route normally also shows operator name and allows Opal Cardl
