Hi moderators,
Earlier today when I tried to log on in City, the page prompted that I was permanently banned based on the IP, which gave me a shock. However when I used the wifi of a bank to log on again, it went back to normal. I would like to suggest that if you have to ban someone, ban the ID because nowadays most people use mobile phones to access the site, which move between different signal towers. If you ban the IP you might inconvenience others unnecessarily. Thanks.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.
We have not used the ban by IP facility since late 2020 and some time before that we went through and undeleted many IP's for the reason you mentioned.
It is now close to impossible to find any IP's still banned.
