Doing research i was able to locate the following information for Tram/Bus Operations in Maitland
Foggs Motors for Service (Operated from late 1910s to Mid 1920s (No affiliation with Sid Fogg's or Fogg's Coaches)(Foggs Motors also operated in Cessnock, Newcastle, basically as the initial Bus Operator outside of Newcastle)
The Tram operated from 1909 - 1929
The South Maitland Motor Company (Bought by George Ryder who formed Rover Motors in 1925)
Marble Bar Motor Service (Bought by George Ryder who formed Rover Motors in 1925)
The White Bus Motor Service (Operated in Maitland, Telarah and Homeville)
East and West Maitland Motor Bus Company (Started in late 1910s or mid 1920s operated from Brunswick St East Maitland to Regent St Telarah and Regent St Telarah to Raymond Terrace Rd East Maitland)
Homeville Bus Service (Started in late 1910s or mid 1920s (Homeville is now incorporated into parts of Telarah and Rutherford)
Patfield's Bus Service (Operated through Telarah, Rutherford & Homeville after Homeville Bus Service ceased)
Hunter Valley Coaches

I do not have details of any registration for m/o 4131.

Sorry Hugh all that information is 1950/60's Newcastle history,Maitland is a bit further up the road,maitland never had m/o plates, the country,metropolitan boundary used to be HEXHAM, not sure if it still is

Foggs motor Service owned and operated MO5989 Commer, which operated in the Gloucester area,but was a South Wallsend/Elermore Vale depot, bus,sometimes a bus from South Wallsend would operate the service
