To help fill gaps at TT Depots due to operational issues, Morphettville Depot have been loaning buses to specific Depots-ie Newton, Port, and Edinburgh North.

Been told by a reliable source that Busways Bustech 2601 has been written off after hitting a truck on South road earlier this year

With Gawler rail services back running now there’s obviously been a large portion of the NL 202s retired with only around 8 TT NLs left and a few for Busways too.
However I was a bit surprised when someone told me recently that the NL 202 CNG buses were being withdrawn. I knew 752 was retired but looked at Fleetlists and it appears several 7xx buses have been retired. Are they looking to withdraw all of these buses soon as they are still aged 21-22 years? Or is it different being CNG buses?if so then guessing that the 16xx fleet would be next?

Withdrawal of CNG buses will be dependent on ages of the gas tanks (assuming they are original - noting the cylinders can be stamped for expiry of ten, twenty, thirty or more years, and cannot be used after that date), otherwise, they'll be run until the end of whatever is deemed to be their economic life.

The NLs, being over 20yrs, have either had new tanks or have tanks stamped for expiryg somewhere closer to 30yrs.

Just wondering if anyone knows if 2823 back on road yet. Haven’t seen it in person or on the app for some time now.
Also do we know if 270, 272, 274, 276 and 2823 will be returned to original depots now the Gawler trains are running?

Every time I go to MV for a meal break 1319 is sitting alongside workshop wall with a few other out of use gas buses (NL202 and NL232) and hasn’t moved. Maybe an MV operator knows more?
