I just bought myself a stack of old Truck and Bus Mags dating back to 1979 through to 1987 (various issues) and one of them had a very detailed report by the late great Geoff Johnson about the then new prototype Hancock medium bus chassis, built in Melbourne with a CAT 3208 and an Allison MT auto. Then another issue had a report by Steve Brooks about an an evaluation day with bus operators that Hancock held to get some interest. The bus was APD043, a Smithfield bodied unit which had the first production Hancock chassis with some modifications from the prototype.
Whatever happened to Hancock and why did they fold?, were there issues with the chassis, or were operators just not keen. I know Ventura had two of them, which were sold only after a few years to Sita, and I know Dysons had some which were sold not too long ago. There were only 20 made if I remember correctly.

Anyone know where these 3 units came from ?

The mid mounts will probably be the pair of Newnham bodies from Dysons, originally Reids Bus Service.
