Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2021
1233 is at Toowong depot with its rear door decal removed. Probably going to be withdrawn
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
W1370 back to G1370.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
G1272 now T1272
E2172 now V2172
E2172 now V2172
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
As per previous post, 2174 is at V but I haven’t seen 2173 or 1271 recently to confirm transfer.
Saw W1322 today which seems a very random transfer from G.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
random working yesterday
W5040 doing 200. weird saw Willawong Tags on Carina route.
also saw S1926 doing 2022 does sherwood run carina route or this bus move to carina but the letter not changed. never seen S doing City - carina route. i think sherwood route that from city that run the furthest east is 184/185.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
5040 appears to be on loan to Carina, 1926 is probably there too, given that 1923-1927 have been at C at times recently.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
T2939 finally out in service today since it has delivered to Toowong for over 8 months.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
There is a significant decline in the patronage on various routes
Blue CityGlider has more rigid B7RLEs replacing artics almost everyday including previous Saturday.
This also applies to many southside BUZs including 111, 130, 140 and 150 with more TAG trips covering by gas 18.310.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
That's interesting - I saw an ABC Article recently suggesting patronage is rebounding strongly as this wave of COVID passes
ABC Article wrote: He said total patronage reached 360,000 travellers each day last week, up from 200,000 a day last month.
"Last Thursday, there was an 80 per cent increase in bus trips and a 50 per cent increase in rail trips compared to the previous Thursday," he said.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
1 - It was most likely a cover run so, in this case the Toowong depot was covering a route under Wllawong. Toowong used to do 100, 110 and 460 many years ago so they are quite familiar with those routes.
2- Mainly because that Willawong is the closet depot to service the Forest Lake/Inala and Centenary Suburbs and have more than enough buses (211 of them reported in January 2022) to cover all of that region. The only exceptions are 106 (Mt Ommaney to Indooroopilly, via. Corinda), 467 (Mt Ommaney to Oxley) and 468 (Oxley to Indooroopilly, via Centenary Mtwy), mainly because Oxley and Corinda is closer to the Sherwood depot.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
today bus from sherwood depo is not running because of flood. it look like all shift from sherwood is covered by Toowong and willawong.
also it look like 130/140/150 that usually run by TAG is replace by MAN rigid gas.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
If memory serves correct the tags are operated on permits and are only allowed on certain roads or routes. Depending on diversions, I'm guessing that could be why.
Plus, if loadings are depressed, not much point sending out large buses.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
I saw 3 outbound 150s back to TAGs at Upper Mount Gravatt, all arriving within 5 mins.
Routes 175 and 180 using TAGs as well.
A couple of Toowong B8s on Routes 66 and 111.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
Almost a week after the rain, not a single bus is running to Toombul. The bus interchange is fenced off like all of the shopping centre but buses could still use the 310 stops in Sandgate Road and hold in Grace Street. All roads look to open so don’t know what delay is. TransLink waiting on advice from TfB and impossible to contact TfB or BCC to get any information,

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
Does anyone know about the state of the jumpseat?
I went on a Sherwood B7 the day before the floods and I found that the jumpseat was untaped. I even sat in it and got some pictures!

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
If roads are all open, am guessing it depends on how much of the workforce is flood affected, and either unable to get to work, or busy trying to clean up. Public transport is an essential service, but its workers are human, and suffer loss too.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
All services are running today! Hopefully this continues into next week
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
Certainly realise that. However when some areas have every timetabled service running as normal and another area has absolutely none at all, I think something is terribly wrong.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
From what i can see on the TransLink website, all providers have now returned to service in SEQ
I’m glad all the public transport is back, I’m not too sure what the holdup for TfB was though. Today every provider except for tfb was up and running at their normal volume. I’m wondering if the depots were hit especially hard by the floods?
