Brisbanetimes---> Trains to run on ‘weekend timetables’, bus and ferry services reduced
Trains are set to shift to weekend-style timetables this month as patronage slumps to 40 per cent and more public transport workers are forced to stay home because of the Omicron wave.

Buses, ferries and CityCat services will also be cut, possibly in early February, as Queensland adjusts to this stage of the pandemic.

Sounds like a reasonable change in the scheme of things. I have noticed that buses and trains are fairly empty around the city.

Recently travelled on the Blue CityGlider. Empty artics and bus stops, more trips replaced by rigid B7RLEs. The only remaining rigid Blue CityGlider E2838 runs everyday.

Yes, most of the time it will change, even if the transfer is temporary.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe all buses 1250 onwards have been transferred to Garden City already with the G prefix

Saw G1338 doing 200. is it sometimes G bus covering carina. and also why does sherwood/willawong does 17x/18x (City - Greenslopes/Holland Park - Garden City) surely better run by carina because it is closer than sherwood or willawong.

Garden City doesn’t cover for the 200
Garden City often operates the 200, it operates it with Carina depot

Any replacements coming presently, or just a delayed cull from the end of Volvo deliveries?

I believe Toowong depot is in a surplus right now, so I don’t think there is any need for replacements.

Historically, Toowong has had around 170 buses, but right now they have around 200. My opinion is that Toowong could operate with all the Gas CNGs retired. Around 110 B8RLEs and 66 MAN 18.310 Diesels.

I just did a search on brisbanetransport.info, they say 1271+ is at Garden City
Hope that helps

I took 599 GCL several days ago, and all passengers were told to change to another bus (from S2005 to S1942) when the driver shift changed in Sherwood. The driver told us that the previous one (S2005) was run out of fuel.

Saw W1444 doing 140 today. is weird to see non TAGS on 140 i know the bus is still from depo that usually run that route. or maybe during peak period there are some swap on the shift during peak hours like the CNG do 140 while tags doing lets say 100/110 or 460.

also interesting thing i saw W5043 at Augstein st cooper plains doing Driver training (Very rare to see to TAGS go into little street) and the next rare moment is G1615 (MAN Artic) pass there to do driving training.
