He looked like he'd had his Leyland dopamine fix at the end  .

Yes, world's biggest Worldmaster customer. Amazing!!

Here in Australia many late 50s and early 60s ex government chassis recieved various new bodies in the 1970s up to the early 1980s by private bus operators.
Many were running up to the 2000s.
My first bus memory is seeing a 1973 rebody pulling up across the street and being transfixed by it's front Leyland hubcap. Same year I was born.

Cleaned up nice. How did you get another desto surround? Great work.
Perth and Brisbane ran Leyland Panthers with the same engine as this bus but mounted in the rear, delivered in the late 1960s and very early 70s.
Brisbane took the mantle of having the largest fleet in the world at around 330 or 350 units I forget.
30 had electric shift semi automatics and the rest had 2 speed ZF fully automatic. Very unique sound.
Here's two examples of the latter preserved.
This one is 721 which just got restored in Brisbane City Council (BCC) livery.

An older video from several years ago of it's sister unit 498 followed by 721 before it's resto.
