Specs of the MET Scania N113s

Post by a350a380 »

Hi All,

Just interested in obtaining full technical specs for the Scanias. If someone could correct me that would be great.

Firstly, I know all the Ansair VOV I Scania N112 and N113 were all pre euro engines and Scania 4 speed gearbox.

Then everything Ansair VOV II up to 198 is old style dashboard with pre euro engines and Scania 4 speed gearbox also.

199 Ansair VOV II not sure whether pre euro/euro 1 or gearbox. Understand it was the first with the new style dashboard.

200 Ansair Low floor N113 not sure whether pre euro/euro 1. I believe it has a voith 3 speed gearbox.

601-605 Ansair VOV II not sure whether pre euro/euro 1 or gearbox.

253-258 Ansair Orana front not sure whether pre euro/euro 1 but these are definitely 4 speed Scania gearbox.

606-613 Ansair Orana front not sure whether pre euro/euro 1 or gearbox.

614-659 true Ansair Orana not sure whether pre euro/euro 1 but these are definitely voith 3 speed gearbox

Essentially I'm interested in knowing if any of these had Euro 1 engines and which ones had Voith/Scania gearbox.

Thanks in advance.

yoda knows for sure. I do know 194 had a Voith box, as I was only enquiring about it last week. Don't know what the Euro ratings are though.

All units run the same 11L pre-Euro engine.

4 speed Scania gearboxes - 101-193, 195-199, 252-256, 601-613.
3 speed Voith gearboxes - 194, 200, 614-659.

As for "new style" vs "old style" dash layouts, I assume you refer the new style as the blow molded plastic? If so, 200, 252-256, 606-659.

Hi all just wondering if any of you metro tas drivers
be able to tell me what the average kms are on your n113 vov2 and oranas and your L94s?. I would think your oranas and vov2 will be clocking over 2million kms by now as they are getting on. Thanks in advance guys.

N113 VOV2 and Orana's range from 590,000km up to 1,600,000km that I've noted.
L94's are all hanging around the 1,000,000km point, give or take 200,000. The notable exception to that is 245 which is yet to hit 400,000.

Thanks Yoda much appreciated :) . 245 must not get out much i would assume. do you know when metro will start to retire the oranas as your vov2s must be nearly all gone now?

Last two VOV2's are now spare, pending new school year passenger loadings.
With all Bustech units now destined for Hobart and 632 waiting to return from Burnie, Orana's will start disappearing in a few weeks.

Spare parts for the Scania VOV2 N113s - is there anyone wrecking?
I'm sure owners would feel more comfortable knowing a source of parts for the Ansair bodies
