Looking for Adelaide trolleybus specs & photos
Looking for Adelaide trolleybus specs & photos
Hello! I am currently researching trolleybuses for an upcoming expansion for the free video game OpenTTD. I am currently looking for photos and information about the buses on the Adelaide system - weight, motor power and make/model, length, width, height, number of seats + max load for passengers. Usually I don't have a lot of problems finding these details but public information for Australian trolleybuses appears to be sparse.

Re: Looking for Adelaide trolleybus specs & photos
Good Morning,
I think that I can help you with this by scanning a sending some photos and information from a couple of older small books.
The easiest way for me to do this is by email..
If you would like to send me a Private Message with your email address, I will get on to this over the next few days.
Best wishes, Tim Williams.

There have been quite a few books written about Adelaide's transport history over the years. Your state library would have copies of them.
The tram museum at St Kilda would probably have information.

I will scan some stuff over the weekend
Re: Looking for Adelaide trolleybus specs & photos
I've contacted the museum, at this time they do not have anybody on staff who can assist me.
As for state libraries, I live in the United States. I did check to see if possibly some within a day's drive would have any of Ian Cooper's books, but none do. I did happen to see if any booksellers in Australia had any in stock, I couldn't find any verifiable stocks, but most listings wanted $60-$80 + shipping to US, which is way out of my affordable range.
