regarding Bristol DD, do you want a Bristol K, Lodekka or a VR?

You haven't specified what type.

I would prefer one of those stylish Bristol Double deckers as seen in the link below. I'm not sure what type that might be :?:.

I'm still interested in all of these. Someone please make me an offer. I will accept all that are received. $50 per kit (unassembled or partially completed preferred), $30 for the Blackpool Balloon, $110 for the W and $350 for the Flexity. Alternatively I will also take O scale SYDNEY OR MELBOURNE trams.

Ben

Re the above: Someone has contacted me and most of the items (these being almost all the Sydney models and Brisbane FM) have been purchased. I am still after the JEM kits, powered Cooee W5, 6 or 7, Sydney L and P and the Balloon car.

Ben

Powered Cooee trams not really worth it in my opinion

Cooee only made three types of motorised W5 & 6 for OO scale, but in three variations (Bendigo restaurant, St. Kilda & Chapel St)

RClasstramcar, while the powered models may be just okay models, I don't believe they are really worth it (at around $200 or so) for reasons I'll give shortly but that's up to you. If I was rating the powered versions, I would probably say that they only just pass except for the motor.

With the possible exception of the Bendigo tram, only just under 2,000 were made of the two other W-Class trams. It seems as these motorised trams may not be selling too well. I think these powered trams have been out for a year or so, and even though only a limited number were made, their seems to be plenty still available both on Cooee's website and other shops, yet comparing to how well the AUBUS1001/2 buses were/are selling and only in a few months.

Rclasstramcar, I have seen these trams in action, and if the motor is anything to go by, I can see why they may not be selling too well. The motor lets them down. Nazarail has some of these trams, and he may report his views on them. The lights are extremely bright. The three motorised versions (W5 & W6 & Bendigo restaurant tram) use the exact same body for these OO scale trams, which is slightly inaccurate.

Not sure if you are can, but a possibly better option as others have done, is to buy the non-powered versions, and altered it to a much more reliable motor of your choice, the only compromise would be some of the interior. In my opinion, the interior & the body is more accurate what they are in the motorised versions.

I contacted Cooee after you posted this thread and asked if they were going to make Sydney pre-1961 trams, and she in no uncertain terms told me that they were not interested in making any more trams. I also contacted another hobby supplier about Sydney R/R1 class after their was some interest. This person basically said to make it worthwhile, you'll need to have around 10,000 people interested.

They have made more since, but have been hamstrung by listening to the wrong people and producing the wrong variants.
