Wow, what a difference, I feel that these beasts where butchered with the replacement headlights, they look so much better with the lights
that they where supposed to have.

I feel like I've gone on a little journey. Congratulations on your efforts, HFB, 679 looks immaculate. Just a question though, was that desto fitted before or after you bought her? It looks brand new!

Thanks,

The Mobitec destination displays were fitted by PATH Transit about 4-5 years ago.

Although it has nothing to do with 679, 686 was over the pits today, and was passed for licencing! She carried the rego UOB686. Great job to all concerned in the registration process.

Cheers!
Officially the last person to tag off the 381 - 20/5/16.
Second last person to tag off the last timetabled 16 - 23/08/19.
Last person to tag off a Transdev Joondalup service - 19/1/20.

679 & 686 Update

Post by High Floor Bus »

And finally we can report on some major progress on 686 preservation .

ImageImageImageImageImage

679 & 686 were both taken over the pits last week , for 679 it was her 1st yearly inspection , for which see passed good on for her licence renewal.

But for 686 it was her first inspection for licensing,
Just like 679 first time over 686 was knocked back for one mechanical & rust issue . Thou the rust was small and easy to fix , most of the time spent repairing it was on getting access to it by removing & refitting the panel covering it . And the leaking axle seal was easily fix by the mechanics . With the work done 686 passed her inspection and was licensed yesterday , and after briefly wearing standard issue plates now adorns her new custom " (Wambos approved)" plates "UOB686".
