2244 back at Joondalup/Wangara.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

Already posted in the depot lists a while backBus Suggestions wrote:2244 back at Joondalup/Wangara.
Going by the lists, the only buses that haven't moved yet (and are due to) are 2679, 2680 and 3099 from Fremantle to Joondalup, and 2645, 2646 and 2911 from Joondalup/Wangara to somewhere South of there

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019
Got an interesting one here... We know that 2568, 2569 and 2570, as well as 2572 and 2573 are at Canning Vale... 2571 however, was sighted by myself, running 407's last week... Is this one perhaps at Trigg, or maybe still at Shenton Park or Mt. Claremont?
Speaking of Mt. Claremont, I was told that the original allocation to there was supposed to be O405NH's and B8 Artics, with Shenton Park becoming a fully B7 depot. This doesn't seem to be the case, as Shenton Park has copious amounts of NH's in the depot and not a lot of B7's.

2571 is indeed at Karrinyup/Trigg, rode it on a 387 and was discussed in the depot listing thread about a week back.

Mount Claremont has always been the fully Volvo Depot.Bus-1809 wrote:Got an interesting one here... Current allocations as far as I know:
Shenton Park:
1340-1351, 1354
1552-1563, 1565, 1569-1571
2574-85, 2590-97
Mount Claremont:
2598-2813, 2831-2839
All artics (3014, 3019, 23, 37, 40, 43, 46, 49, 70, 79, 100-102)
Additionally, it seems the current new B7/B8 deliveries are going to Mount Claremont, which in turn displaces a 259x to Shenton Park, which then kills off a NH.

To be honest. I'm baffled at the 1.5km to 2km distance between Mt Claremont and Shenton Park Depot's

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019
It's because of the land, or lack thereof, as to why Mt. Claremont and Shenton Park are separate depots.
1791 is having an overnight visit to Welshpool. It was changed off, so obviously has failed. Not sure what WP Bus is seeking residence at Malaga for the evening.

Might be because of 1370 which suffered a coolant leak yesterday and not to mention that 2370 also had an overnight visit too.Bus-1809 wrote:1791 is having an overnight visit to Welshpool. 1791 was on defect road at WP, so it would have been the unit that failed. 2370 is also a Redcliffe bus.Zidanehartono wrote:Might be because of 1370 which suffered a coolant leak yesterday and not to mention that 2370 also had an overnight visit too.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019

While i'm at it does anyone know where new deliveries 2952+ and 2773+ have ended up at ?
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019
On loan, 3048 is the only artic I didn't see in Rockingham today so presumably that's carked it up in Freo at some point and got changed offsylar wrote:yeah i was aboard it this morning while it was operating the 565..... is it on loan or possibly been moved ?Squiddy wrote:Freo artic 3093 is on holiday in Rockingham today

Haven't really been keeping up with Welshpool refurbs because they're going through them so quick, but I saw 1392 freshly refurbished yesterday.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019
B-series 89, 92 and i think 115 was seen on the Armadale Line today.
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019
Noticed a significant increase in B series operation on the heritage lines today apart of the scheduled 2 on Freo midland another 3 are in operation on Armadale/Thornlie as some as well some 2cars which are usually scheduled as 4cars are the A sets becoming that unreliable that a large volume are being taken off traffic at any one time? I know about scheduled maintenance at CRD & NRD now this also begs the question how much longer until the A sets are just used for peak hour and special events services only and Bs running off peak, nights and weekends on the heritage lines? Or are B sets just getting preference over As in the timetables?
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019
Do we even have enough surplus B-sets for this to even be possible before the C-series trains start rolling out? (ignoring the Forrestfield link opening in 18 months)TP1462 wrote:this also begs the question how much longer until the A sets are just used for peak hour and special events services only and Bs running off peak, nights and weekends on the heritage lines?
Seeing B-sets on the heritage lines is pretty common these days, it's hardly a notable occurrence. We have more B-sets available than are needed at the moment on the Mandurah/Joondi lines, so why not use them on the heritage lines
Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019
Yea did mention on the original post that B sets are used on the heritage however 5 seemed like an unusually high number so hence the original post about the As & reliability we do have enough B series for nights and weekend usage this has been done before but off peak A set replacement would still be a number of years away at least until the first batch of C sets are in service

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2019
The surplus units we presently have mean they'll effectively have additional spares, until the number of railcars needed for peak service increases, I'm sure they'll use these spares to their advantage, for whatever purpose that might be.
There are usually some Bs out at night on the heritage lines.
