PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2021

Post by Zidanehartono »

Welcome to 2021!

Thread rules (adapted from Mr OC Benz):
  • Please ensure the observations you are posting are of your own sightings.
  • Refrain from speculating, posting rumours or making uneducated assumptions. If any posts contain assumptions or opinions which cannot be 100% confirmed as fact, please clearly state this in your post.
  • A number of people are using http://www.perthbus.info as your "observation" source. Information from there is publicly accessible. It is not necessary to repost any information from there in this thread, unless of course it is something you wish to challenge for discussion on here (e.g. confirm accuracy, provide an update etc).
  • Insider information from other social media forums, especially perthbus.info's Facebook page is NOT publicly accessible and may contain sensitive information, therefore is NOT to be reposted on Bus Australia under any circumstances.
  • Please limit photos posted in this thread to one good photo that supports your observation. Any additional photos should be posted in the photo section of the forum.
  • PTA / Transperth related observations should relate to sightings of unusual, unrecorded and interesting occurrences, such as buses out of their normal operating area or on routes that are unusual to be seen on.
  • Observations related to the actual bus such as fleet presentation (destination displays, advertising, bus defects/damage etc.) should not be posted in this thread, but be directed to the appropriate organisation if the issue is of concern.
  • Private observations may encompass any new or interesting bus sightings within the private bus scene in WA.

Due to bushfires in the Kwinana area, routes 548 and 549 are deviating via a length route.

548 to Fremantle: Deviating via Office Rd, Mandurah Rd, Wellard Rd, Gilmore Ave, Sulphur Rd, Orelia Ave/Kwinana Stn/Johnson Rd, Thomas Rd, Kwinana Freeway, Rowley Rd, Wattleup Rd, Rockingham Rd to resume route on Cockburn Rd.

549 to Fremantle: Starting at Gilmore Ave, deviating via Sulphur Rd, following same deviation to Rockingham Rd to resume route.

Reverse the roads for trips to Rockingham, except they may be doing Thomas straight onto Gilmore.

Cheers!
Officially the last person to tag off the 381 - 20/5/16.

Apparently Perthbus.info has mistakenly classified 3104 as a rigid B8. Hope they have since rectified it.

Also, Trans Geraldton still shows Buswest as a contractor on the same site. AFAIK, Path Transit is now in charge of Geraldton region.

After having nothing but B8 rigids for close to 18 months now... They're probably well and truly in the habit of entering all new buses as B8RLEs

And that's notable because...? 2786 is almost two months old now

Not even a midi (112/3/7) cameo?

1375 on 299 this morning on the Terrace. 1915 just seen at the same spot on 296.

When CATs were operating as normal the Midis would turn up relatively often. Now with just the Blue CAT running that means only one bus is ever needed to run the service.

Surprising 1923 wound up on CATs. I would guess it was used to cover a change off and was available immediately.

Obviously not. That's why Bus-1809 typed 1923 instead of 112, 113 or 117.

Again, not unusual at all.

Today I was at Perth busport and noticed that TP2049 doing Route 389 to Wanneroo. I think that this was the first time that an OC500LE CNG doing a bus service to Wanneroo.

Most certainly not. Trigg used to have their fair share of 346's, which in turn meant that plenty of OC500LE's have done 346's. OC's from Malaga have even wound up on 346's before, on cover trips. Even 1816 one night from memory. Although that may have been a 363

Not unusual, I myself noted 2049 doing the 389T trip earlier that afternoon. OCs have regularly been ploughing to Wanneroo now since Swan's taken Joondalup.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

I haven't seen any Malaga buses serving on the old 346, but had once seen a 18** OC on 347. Could have been 1858 though.

Also vaguely remember seeing a 17** series NH gassie on the old 373.

Only happened if Mike 2 or Mike 3 had to cover a trip, if Kilo 3 was already occupied and there was no other option. Also late night trips being covered due to breakdowns etc...

Regarding the Transcoms on 373's, there was 2x Malaga shifts that had Karrinyup running on them for a short time. Had some interesting things show up on them!

Yes, as SP/Mt.C do the bulk of the City Beach trips (Launceston Ave and Oceanic Dve termini) and Trigg do the Wembley Downs (Hale Road & Chipping Road termini) Services
