I thought 1199 went over to Swan Transit after Joondalup package changed hands.

No; it was withdrawn and stored in December 2019, before Joondalup was handed over to Swan. Hence, it stayed with Transdev.

On a slightly different note, 1571 is back in service with Swan, sighted doing a 388, then a 425.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

I think it's 1845 and 1846, but could be wrong. Both have been floating around there lately
Bus Suggestions wrote: Wed May 26, 2021 11:31 am And it seems 1229 to Karrinyup.
it look like that karrinyup take some of the NH from Beenyup and Joondalup when this depo get new bus. Is like when 0405 CNG retire from Bayswater depo. 1 months before withdrawn these bus move to malaga.

Also which NH that still in service is look like most of them are at Karrinyup, 1342-1344, 1355. 1845/46. 1229 and some Joondalup NH

- 2097 was moved down to Transdev Rockingham depot this afternoon
- 2246 was moved to Swan, and is currently at Southern River depot.

It definitely is at Rockingham. Here's some proof, it parked up next to 2975 in the depot this afternoon.

Wow thats quite unusual, though 2244 is currently with swan which makes sense why 2246 moved to swan (excluding 2245). Wonder if 2096 or more swan 20×× series will make their move to transdev.

Is the 2097/2245 swap a permanent deal? It's highly unusual to say the least.

*2246
I'd say so, unless there's a contract change eg Swan taking over Rockingham vice versa.

I saw Path bus change a bit of their "Not In Service" desto. The new one seem to be put In Service 2 dot upper and also has a dot point after Service. However i only saw on bus From Kalamunda contract (Kalamunda/Redcliffe/Welshpool)

I get the feeling that Southern river has been gaining more Volvo B7RLE buses this year to replace 2 B12 artics (which have been transferred to Claremont depot and Wangara.) How many Volvo B7RLE buses are being stored in the Southern River depot?

2426-2430 are all at Southern River.

Just a minor administrative matter which has been bought to the Mods attention, info/gen posted on the Facebook group is not to be re-posted on here, it goes against board guidelines. As a result an offending post has been removed.

I was riding an artic down South Terrace in Fremantle today and at the Markets stop six people boarded and each one lengthily negotiated a cash fare. We were stuck there for about three minutes with buses and traffic backing up behind us to infinity on the single lane street. It was quite a shock to one accustomed to NSW's cashless fare system (though brought back memories of the "good" old days!). I can only commend making Smartrider compulsory to you. Backed up by a credit card option. No card, no ride. What I saw today was just ludicrous.

Drivers aren’t tendering change due to COVID ideally they should be using a smartrider having said that the readers are becoming more unreliable mostly due to age and RFID becoming less reliable as it ages and becomes obsolete less secure tech. The system is much older than Opal (oldest in the country) and is being upgraded they have to replace all backend equipment and switch over the readers from RFID to NFC to support Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank cards they also need to reissue cards it’s quite a complex logistical exercise they also have to update the App, allow authentication via smartphone with a virtual smartrider and allow integration with Apple Wallet and Google Pay and lastly rewrite the entire system to change the fare structure to the new 2 zone system

This would likely be the result of the driver challenging would-be fare-evaders or explaining that change is (still!) not given - a farcical policy given it is now well-established COVID is an airborne disease. It should not take that long to issue six tickets ordinarily - 30secs max with passengers who aren't trying to rort the system.

Similarly lengthy delays are often encountered as a result of passengers who are unprepared, and have no SmartRider ready, or those able-bodied passengers who insist on the ramp being deployed.

I would also challenge any ideas posed by another poster the SmartRider system is becoming "more unreliable". I have seen no evidence of this myself.

Ah, the boomers are at it again I see.

When Singapore switched over to OMO system of ticketing, everyone had to pay the exact fare as there was no longer any conductor to hand out change. Still, people lapped up the new changes like thirsty pups. Now, the folks over there have the option of using their debit cards to pay for their rides.

I was sitting down the back so I couldn't hear what was being said, but there were protracted discussions with each passenger. I guess it's not usually that extreme.

A: What does Singapore have to do with the previous posts?

B: Who are you calling a boomer? People are discussing about tickets, and I cannot see a link between the two. Please think before typing a response, because it shows a lack of intelligence on your behalf.

Back to observations - 3234 seen in service yesterday on a 467.

Cheers!
Officially the last person to tag off the 381 - 20/5/16.
Second last person to tag off the last timetabled 16 - 23/08/19.
Last person to tag off a Transdev Joondalup service - 19/1/20.

Although following the same style, each operator's destos are slightly different, and have been noted before, as the operators are responsible for making destos rather than the PTA. A fairly observable difference is the destos on the CircleRoute; Path and Transdev use the smaller 7x5 font for the top, whereas Swan use the larger 7x8:
