Imagine if that one was replacing 1626.
I doubt it's replaced 1626 as its now back in midvale depot, seen it there tonight on my way home from work

https://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/Servic ... on-closure

The Claremont station closure has been extended to June significant rot and damaged components have been found this post by the Transport & Planning Minister further explains the depth of the issues. Obviously this requires fabrication of new components and timber hardware a shuttle train will continue to from Showgrounds station whilst the repairs are carried out and the station is brought up to modern construction standards

2071 and 2072 are back from refurb.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

I note, with some interest, the following on the linked service update:
... Please note that this service cannot be found in our JourneyPlanner as it is being provided by a private operator.

Kilometres isn't really a factor. Some of those 1200s listed haven't even reached a million yet.

Some of the mid-range 127x’s are well in excess of 1.1 million kms, which is phenomenal mileage for a gassie, they present nicely too even several years after going thru the refurbishment program.

Everything up to and including 2074 is back from refurb now.

Some of the Karrinyup ones that were in the last batch of gas OC’s delivered are barely halfway there! They come back from refurb looking absolutely mint too 👌

Those high-mileage 1200s are often mind-bogglingly quick too. Certainly earned their stripes.

Yes based on age and kilometres
Kilometers mean nothing... The oldest one doesn't have the highest kilometres

Remember that most of the 127x's and 128x's got cabs early in the peace, so have done long days since almost new!

Not much comes close to the Rockingham ones, half of them down here have passed the million mark by now and they've still got a few years to go yet! I think 1948 is the highest here now 1942 has left for Freo, closely followed by 1959 iirc

I'll have to snap 2074 before it gets another wrap!

That’s nothing unusual for weekends it’s mainly done by Canningvale and occasionally Beckenham. Southern River doesn’t do much weekend work apart from Armadale local routes because it’s CNG

Or perhaps there simply aren't enough services that even operate on weekends down in that part of the world for it to be efficient for Southern River to have many buses out.

Southern River has never done much weekend work unless it’s for rail replacement or Armadale local routes, the preference is for Volvos from Canningvale and Beckenham even the 930 which is mainly a southern river run got nothing to do not having sufficient weekend services

And it has nothing to do with the fact Canning Vale has more drivers, an easier place to change buses off... right.
