RE: Destos - Personally find it somewhat redundant to have destos that say "Fremantle Station / Terminates Fremantle Station". Isn't obvious that the bus terminates at Fremantle if it isn't "Via Fremantle"?

Although following the same style, each operator's destos are slightly different, and have been noted before, as the operators are responsible for making destos rather than the PTA. A fairly observable difference is the destos on the CircleRoute; Path and Transdev use the smaller 7x5 font for the top, whereas Swan use the larger 7x8:

DestoDiff.jpg
yeah but i not wrong the 7x5 font only use for destination place where it has long words/words that not enough to put on volvo bus. Because there some route that they use 7x8 on mercy desto while 7.5 on volvo desto. 7.8 is actually the nornal bold desto that transperth use. like u said before Swan tend not to use 7.5 (except for Aubin Grove route) where Path route destination tend to use 7.5 version (except Mirrabooka and 950 QEII)

I remember Path Transit used to have a ship icon for Scarborough routes. Seen those being used in the old 400.

Now they have a plane icon for airport services.

Though I've missed out as I had a day trip somewhere, It was nice to see Swan Transit assisting with today's rail replacement. One to thing to add is that 2718 was also doing rail replacement too.

2 Adams (Rottnest) buses now carry these regos:

B92 = 1HEP192
B93 = 1HEF563

I guess they do that for those unfamiliar with the system, catching a bus from say north of Fremantle to south of Fremantle and expecting to stay on the same bus right through.

Again I came across a 103 stopped for ages on the highway at Mosman Park with the driver engaged in some extended negotiation with a boarding passenger. I guess these things stand out to an east coaster and I have to remind myself that Sydney/Newcastle/Wollongong suffered the same problem too for many years!

In my experience, the majority of passengers don't look at the destination text, only the number - also bear in mind there is a proportion of the population that can't read.

This is where separate route numbers should be used to save confusion amongst the travelling public. A good example of this is when there was a
400 and 408 service. It was clear that the 408 terminated at Glendalough station and the 400 continued on into the city. In July 2013 the 408 trips were renumbered to 400 and the confusion starts - some 400 trips were terminating at Glendalough and anyone travelling further had to get out of the bus and wait for the next service. A similar thing happens in the evening at Thornlie station where some 206 services terminate at the station and does not continue to Cannington.

I thought 400 and 408 merged to form 990?

Also, there are some trips on 935 that don't enter King's Park. Sometimes I have been caught unaware when I boarded the bus.

Yes I'm pretty sure 400 was remembered to 990 in 2014 I think.

408 weekday services were reduced and replaced by 400 on 21/7/13 and both routes were renumbered to 990 on 4/5/14. This info was gleaned from my timetable database (link in my sig).

I think this discussion is getting off topic for this thread and may be best continued here

i just want to ask what the point of moving OC gas to rockingham then move the diesel to karrinyup. is it because karrinyup need more bus or related to withdrawn of 12xx gas. because when Morley get 21xx is still make sense because they need more bus for new route. Also will they swap more bus with Rockingham or maybe next is swap with path. (For example: 20xx karrinyup moving to path welshpool/morley while some diesel move to SWan)
