Keep in mind Path and Transdev OCs have already started being withdrawn. The lifespan for the OCs is largely based on the expiry of the gas tanks iirc (and I think they're only designed for 16-18 years anyway), the chances of any of them being in service for 20 years is pretty much zero.

oh yeah i forget that lifespan of gas is shorter than diesel. the reason why i put 20 years because most of the NH are withdrawn when it turn 20 even most of reno are withdrawn wihtin around 24 years.

also talk about gas it look like the km of these bus when withdrawn is lower than NH and reno because this is based on my experience, OC bus rarely use for nightshift (except from depo that 100% gas). Even pre 2011 (when volvo delivery), they preferer to use Reno bus.

The usage of the NHs varied to bus usage now - many of the earlier ones based in the southern region will have spent part of their lives whipping up and down the freeway, and might have otherwise spent time on the Circle.

In the case of the Freo, plenty of their OCs are out and about of a night during the week, and even on the weekends sometimes.

Seems as if 1846 has been moved to Karrinyup, and 3230 is in service.

I think it's 1845 and 1846, but could be wrong. Both have been floating around there lately

2428 and 29 were seen at Armadale station 28 did the 245 and 29 did the 250 respectively

1917 and 2360 seems to have duplicated Transperth logos on its offside exterior.

Horizons West have another ex-Transperth O405NH running: 1HID850 (now 71). Although all of its TP stickers have been removed, it can be assumed that this is ex-TP1544 (running a rego check gives us a build year of 2000, and 1544 is the only NH that's been identified as acquired by HW, remained unidentified, while having a body build date in 2000).

Arriving at Perth airport domestic last night I got outside to the transperth bus stop after surviving the police covid dragnet inside, so I thought we'd made it. There was a Transperth officer at the stop, very nice and friendly but I was taken aback when he asked to see our boarding passes! I thought wtf, most people throw theirs away before then but I still had them in a crumpled heap at the bottom of the bag. He said he had to see them because we were "both together" (my wife and I). What on earth was that about? I felt like we were in a communist country.

Seems strange but the likely explanation is that WA has recently imposed testing requirements for arrivals from VIC and as a part of those requirements, they are not allowed to use public transport until they have tested negative. They may just be making sure no one is trying to breach these requirements.

So he was checking our point of origin, seems ok. Funnily enough there was a big bunch of Melbourne University students on the plane but they flew from Sydney.

Without knowledge of where the buses shuttling people off to hotel quarantine depart from, I imagine it is also to ensure no-one bound for quarantine is trying to sneak away. There have been a couple of cases of people coming straight off a plane and somehow managing to avoid the trip into hotel quarantine.
