Hope the dress rims stay. I thought Brisbane Transport's fleet looked a bit unsightly without them... Of course it doesn't help they don't seem to wash the wheels (or roofs!) of their buses often.

Both were on road apparently. Not sure on what the state of 1598 is, but I believe they somehow ended up being shunted into one another.

1610 was the first OC to be burnt wasn't it?

This afternoon, I noticed 2020 operating Route 990F from Perth to Mirrabooka. Since Swan took over Joondalup contract this year, Joondalup/Wangara used the route. But Karrinyup depot decided to use a CNG bus for the Route 970.

Yes... Karrinyup have been operating some 370/354/384/970s at least since the 8th March changes.
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

Beenyup too - one of my favourite runnings I've seen in recent months is NH 1351 running a 970 at the end of June, during the brief time it was at Beenyup

Path Transit used to do similar mixed running when they had the contracts for the northern suburbs IIRC. Ever saw a Malaga bus on the old 347 (now 388).

The best areas, IMO, for mixed/global runs are:

Joondalup/Marmion/Claremont
Morley/Midland/Kalamunda/Canning/Southern River

Saw freshly refurbished 2030 today. Saw 1434 as well, which I believe completes Path's OC refurbs.

The final 28xx, 2899 is out in service also.

They have been noted in perthbus.info already, 3200 was photographed by Squiddy at Truck Centre Welshpool last week and they are signwritten for Swan. As such I am 95% sure they will join their slightly elder brethren at Beenyup, some of the 3200s may potentially go to Joondalup to replace the last of Transdev's batch of 1800s.

They were also noted registered at the same time I believe as 2899, so they may have entered service today. I'll see if I can at least find them around Warwick tomorrow, if I'm lucky I might score a ride.

0102 seen at Kings Park at 0855 this morning while 1566 was on 68 leaving Perth at about 1645.

Will 2780 be replacing 0109? Are 3200 and 3201 replacing 2096 and 2097?

The scrapping of 1597 and 1598 leaves Swan Transit with just 3 OC Midis (1594-1596). Path Transit appears to have the most (1591-1592; 1864-75; 1910-1917, 1919; 0100-108, 110-111) of this model, including the ex-CAT ones. Transdev has 16 (RCCTS1-RCCTS4; 1918; 0112-0122), mostly in Rockingham.

3200 and 3201 haven't been delivered yet so don't get your hopes up :P

My guess I would say next Tuesday or Wednesday they'll be out.

Darn! At least now I do have a rough guess of the day they enter service and when to scope out for them, and I do have 2899 to look for.

As they haven't been rushed for new buses, I suspect Path has enough buses to cover for the loss of 0109. 2780 is more likely to replace 1566. 3200 and 3201 are more likely to replace some of the NHs at Beenyup than go to Karrinyup, IIRC 1342-1344 re-entered service to cover for 2096/97 and refurbs. Some 3200s are likely to go to Joondalup to replace 1220-1230, and maybe 2426 and 2462 as well (in terms of fleet numbering they are probably the most sensible choices to replace Karrinyup's NHs.

2448 hasn't been seen for a few days, and hasn't been around the depot.

These aren't unusual obs... 1566 is based out of Malaga along with 1567 and 1568

102 is based out of Welshpool, along with 100, 101 and 103

Thought the 100 series OCs had returned to Malaga some time back. Anyway, NHs are very rare in Perth these days. They're apparently still active in Mandurah though. Some, like 1824 and 1825, are up for sale.

NHs are somewhat active in Morley, Joondalup and Marmion areas partly as a result of Swan inheriting Transdev's 1220-1230. 1824 & 1825 aren't the only ones for sale. Close to all withdrawn buses from the TP fleet go through Manheim Auctions, where 1509, 1184, 1173 & 1723, as well as 1824 & 1825 are right now.

By my count there are 36 NHs left in service in Perth at the moment.

1212-1219 at Mandurah
1220-22, 1224-1230, 1827 at Joondalup
1342-44, 1355 at Karrinyup
1566-1568 at Morley
1841-1850 at Beenyup

There are a few extras that are kept active and in reserve in case they need extra buses for whatever reason, but these are the only ones I'm aware of that are in revenue service now.

Beenyup. B8s replacing NHs.

Edit: If my list above was correct, 3200 should have killed 1841.

So are Midis being phased out? All B8s are standard-length ones, aren't they?

That said, Path Transit seems to have lots of Midis, albeit CNG-powered OC500LE ones. I counted 33 of them all up.

The B8 CATs are midis.
