B-series 60, 72, 89, 92, 112 and 119 are seen operating the Armadale/Thornlie Line today which brings the number of those railcar units to 6. B-series 49 was also seen this Monday too.

The Bs are out as a result of recent trespasser off platform vs train incidents which have shone light on an issue with the way some of the A's front windscreens are bonded. While this is being addressed (it will take a while) surplus Bs are plying Armadale/Thornlie links which run non stop through platforms to minimise potential hazards to drivers.

Cheers.

2010 refurbed
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

It's at Rockingham, and yeah it's just on loan (especially seeing as it's due to be transferred to Swan Joondalup in a few weeks)

Edit: Saw 2680 in Fremantle today (Saturday) on a 502 so it is back that way now.

While I'm here, 1394 and 1395 back from refurb too

Fairly talked about, the Thoreb's position has moved. Where it was is now a useless black panel.

So after all TP1649 was the trial unit for the DTI CCTV's? Seems like none of this year's refurb buses or newer B7RLE's come with this.

With the aircon intake it's just a different type of filter that's been placed inside, some of Rockingham's B7's and OC's have had the same filter type installed over the last 6 months and Karrinyup started installing them in their OC's about 12 months ago.

You missed that the yellow pressure mat in front of the rear door is gone too!

Additionally, a very very minor exterior change I've noticed mid-production. On the first few the reversing camera has a white shell like the interior cameras, but very recent ones (I believe 2843 was the first) have seen the reversing camera changed to silver. A very minor but very welcome change imo, looks much better

Just different placement of the Thoreb screen. Much of the indicators (e.g. doors open, stop request etc) are mirrored on the display with various symbols (in a way it surprises me the input keypad wasn't altered to reflect the relocation of the display). It will definitely save drivers reaching to the left while looking up and to the right at the Thoreb screen while changing their destinations.
It didn't look too intrusive when I was on a B8 last week at night, either, which is a good thing (you need good night vision to see people at stops sometimes!)

The trains have pleated filters installed, too.

You'll also notice the air-conditioner's fan speed is a lot more variable than the three speeds (nothing, okay, cyclone) we had previously with B7 deliveries. On a nighttime ride last week I found 2775's was all over the show - although it almost seemed as though the vehicle's road speed had something to do with it.

Caught a glimpse of some red floor panelling around the back door, but I was sitting right up the front to attempt to get a good photo of the dash. See if I find a B8 prowling Warwick today...

Didn't find a B8 this morning, however 2017 has been refurbished, Swan Karrinyup's first OC refurb.

Pretty sure a refurb from Malaga got the new cameras, but I can't seem to recall which one.

1921 also has the new cameras - whether or not that's a trial bus or has just had new ones put in, is another question.

Cheers!
Officially the last person to tag off the 381 - 20/5/16.
Second last person to tag off the last timetabled 16 - 23/08/19.
Last person to tag off a Transdev Joondalup service - 19/1/20.

Rear Door Foot Plate is missing as the anti jamming mechanism is in the rubber strips.
If it's not a ZF, take it back!

Carbridge Perth Airport onboard announcements seem to have changed as the voiceover is now a younger male (With softer voice than before) and with an added announcement of what bus you are on (Eg. It says "This is the Terminal Transfer Bus" on an Terminal Transfer service).

2016 and 2018 are away for sWAn
Nothing is currently away for transdev.
