Bronte accident of 1975
Hi,
I believe that my sister-in-law was driving the DD that tipped on the steep hill in 1975 at Bronte.
I remember that there were articles in the paper, but I can find nothing in newspaper or library archives.
Would anyone gave an idea of where any news article on it - or even a photo - could be found? I have tried Dave Wilson's photos, but only get a blank page.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but can't even find the group in the search register; do you know if it still exists?
Can't even find it in newspaper archives - almost like all reference has been removed, yet I remember an article about it.

Fair enough!!
Still can't find record of it, though. Frustrating!

Have now received further information regarding this.
Bus tipped on a steep corner because the axle snapped off the chassis of the DD due to rust.

The photo shows the bus lying on its off side within the standing area of the terminus.

Usual disclaimer "not my pic, found it on interweb somewhere, saved on my computer from somewhere (so is it my copy of someone else's pic) just look at it & don't ask me I found it over there somewhere.

Thank you for posting this pic..................I WAS TOLD I WAS talking thru my hat ............................I stated I was driving a bus behind it as I WAS ON LOAN FROM RYDE TO WAVERLLY AS THEY WERE SHORT STAFFED! I remember the inncodent as I WAS waiting to turn behind the decker in a atlanteen.I STILL say she turned to quick & tight NOW AFTER all these years the picture says a 1,000 words & it proved it did happen & was one of the last times a decker flipped over & could be mistaken I THINK SHE WAS A BRAND NEW DRIVER!

Getting that upright would have been an interesting exercise to watch, considering its position
